Music......
it's been a part of my life ever since I can remember. My bass has been an extension of my arm about that long as well. But I also learned to play a little keys, guitar and drums out of necessity. I hail from a musically diverse and ethnically diverse family. My grandfather was a trombone player for a national radio broadcast station band & the Army. And my uncle was a multi talented musician and recording artist also. This played a huge part in my upbringing. I was born in Detroit, spent a good part of my childhood outside of Chicago, and when I was a teen...back to the D. Currently I'm the co-owner of a project studio in Mt. Clemens, where I reside. Yo, I love Mt. Clemens!!! Along side my bandmates, my song writing and production efforts were featured in Billboard Magazine, in addition to a nomination and performance at the Detroit Music Awards. Some of the groups I've played or recorded with are Hot Rice (jazz), HUSH (hip-hop), Paul Miles (Blues), Abby B. (Soul) Harmonie Park (electronic), Detroit City Council (rock) and currently The Saints (soul). I love and listen to all types of music. But I really love soul recordings from the late 60's, 70's and 80's - especially real groove heavy stuff. I'm also a big supporter and fan of Detroit music and musicians. I'm happily married to my soulmate and we have two lovely daughters.
Peace....
Chris...good to have you in the mix, bro! Now we have to get you and your groove box out one of the hits. Like tonight @ The Cadieux Cafe, or Wednesday @ The Cornerstone on 225 Jos Campau. Both sessions are very much open, and you WILL get to put your sound in their ears!
oh Christopher I can tell you know where the wild things live...Thank you for requesting to be my friend!!
I wish for you, your passion in life, the thing that makes your toes twinkle and makes your booty shake. At the end of your road, may you look back at your life and know that you did everything you wanted to do despite all your fears, you forged ahead to the dance floor of life and did the Salsa!
THANK YOU!!! On the front lines of the Good Time Revolution and lovin' every minute of it!!
