Photography, Aviation (cant fly anymore, but I still think about it), Music of course, and my incredible children Jill, Who has moved back to Michigan with her husband Chad And the ever bouncing amazing grandbaby Grace , Mike working hard this year as a landscaper in Macomb County, Heather working hard and still going to school (my Wild Child)... and all of my other musical children I have adopted along the way. Of course Country Music is Primary to me, but I am very eclectic when it comes to what I like to listen to. I don't quite get the feeling for rap or urban music, but Im up for any kind of challenge... I get more into the VIBE of the music and how the people react to it than I do the music itself, I guess that is what drew me to Country Music. --- the lifeblood of America
Movies
The Abyss is probably my favorite movie... but really other than 2am, who has time for movies.. IT's all about LIVE MUSIC. You would think that as winter hits, things would be slowing down, but I am actually working very hard already on NEXT summer. Lots of wonderful things to come to the Detroit Area for Summer 2007.. Just watch .. it will amaze you. It is my intention to have DCM in the forefront of it all...
Television
Dramas - Now that the West Wing is over... (although I have season 1-7 on DVD) The top rated current run drama for me is NCIS. I still enjoy a good Star Trek Rerun. I have found a gem of a comedy in THE BIG BANG THEORY, giving all of us high school nerds a show of our own. New series IN PLAIN SIGHT is showing promise... Not much into any of the reality shows, they just seem so contrived, Do people actually watch Flav - a Flav?
Books
Probably what I read most is techincal manuals. I know.. boring and drab, but my father who was a teacher all his life did instill the gift of wanting to learn in all of us, for that I will always be greatful. And his prime wisdom of the ages is.. "You don't need to know everything, but knowing where to find the answer will always make you seem as though you do"

About me:
Ok.. So my life has turned another corner.. I'm now a proud (very proud) Grandpa. My Daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with a Full head of hair. Some characteristics from both my daughter and her husband of course, but I think she looks like her grandpa. (prob much to the dismay of my ex wife) Grace is beautiful, perfect and is already on track to be truly spoiled. But hey--- that is what grandpa's are for.. right?
To me.. It's not just all about the music, The Musicians rule for me.
I started DetroitCountryMusic.com about almost nine years ago now and it has been such a wild Ride. I have met some of the most wonderful people anyone could ever imagine, and watching them create and perform incredible music is what I wake up for.
In 2007 I started a company called VENUPIX shooting concert and event photography is S.E. Michigan.
I am also the House Photographer for the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, MI and the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren, The Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens and the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak. It is one of the most interesting jobs a person can have. Not only do I get to see great shows, I work the Meet and Greets and get some very up close and personal time with the performers. I've been doing this for years now, and I enjoy it more and more each season
I am living with a heart condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy, with Congestive Heart Failure. By rights, I should be pushing up daisies, but I think the things that I do that I love have kept me from being on the other side of the astroturf. I am LIVING proof that the mind has a great deal of control over the body. I have a multi-function heart implant that has saved my life about 5 times in the last 4 years. Statistically I should not be walking, or doing any of the things I do ... boy, am I showing those docs..eh?.. Actually I owe a great deal to My cardio team led by Dr. Steven Timmis.
