Detroit Electro is an internet radio station that originated on Detroit's east side. This profile is for the station but also to remember the stations founder Ian Marston a.k.a. Iridium. Sadly cancer took Ian from us, prematurely ending a life that was full of promise. Fiercely loyal to his freinds and family, Ian is sorely missed by all of us. Ian was a dj and promoter who had an eclectic taste in music that ranged from house to electro to booty. Ian was well known in the Detroit scene by both the musicians and audiences. When Technology reopened Detroits legendary Eastown theater, Ian bravely volunteered to be our doorman for the Link series of shows. It took a strong, assertive character to deal with the area Ians Detroit police officer mother and the rest of the DPD called "the warzone". Because of his strong character Ian's presence was strongly felt by all who knew him, but it has also left us with a profound sense of loss at his passing. If you are one of Ians freinds remember what The Reverand Run said about his dear freind Jam Master Jay's untimely death 11 months before Ian, god has a plan. Also try to remember Ian the way I do, he was not afraid to say anything to anyone and his irreverant sense of humor was wicked.
