"Epic, lush music, filled to the brim with ideas, and powerful, towering tracks that often break the 12 minute mark ... in an over-crowded market, post rock has been dealt another gem" ROUGH TRADE
"This four tracker from London post-rockers is a fine example of what can be achieved with just the bare essentials - two guitars, bass, drums, and violin. Using dynamics to the max they create cinematic soundscapes of epic proportions" 8/10 ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE
"This is the greatest slab of post rock of the year so far ... you're gonna put your fist through the stereo with sheer excitement. It rocks, it goes ethereal and it has strings. What more do you want? Fecking excellent." NORMAN RECORDS
"possess conviction and fury ... at times, the two guitarists look like they are about to come to blows. The situation is exacerbated by the frantic drummer, urging on the warring musicians, but beneath this are the soothing influences of the bass and electric violin, acting as musical diplomats. It's a frenzied, dangerous and dualistic performance" SANDMAN MAGAZINE (Live in Leeds 2006)
"Detwiije have been gradually cementing their status as one of the greatest newcomers to surface in recent years. The guitar duo pretty much embodies the sonic nature of Detwiije, with all the imaginative chording, while the mesmerizing violin in some way replaces the missing voice. The rhythm section is tight and dexterous, wrapping the sound up with diverse and inventive rhythm patterns. Kudos for Gizeh for having released this splendorous album." VENTRILOCUTION.NET

Thanks a lot! I look forward to overhearing you and Michael discussing Nigel Kennedy and different types of bow grease, or whatever it is that you violinists get up to when you meet up.
Thanks for the add. I enjoy your music. I think of Mogwai (drums and arpeggios of guitars). Terrific songs and prodigious sense of the melody with nice crescendo. A waterfall of sounds. An expressive rhythmic section. Music is never overrated with you, it blooms.
