DEUCE ELEVEN is a five-piece country band headed up by Shannon & Kelli Farmer.
The fun, party atmosphere of Deuce Eleven, teamed up with their unique selection of music and "pro" mentality, makes this band one you will want to see again and again!
Shannon Farmer has been playing professionally since the age of 13, and plays several different musical instruments. Originally from Hobbs, New Mexico, he moved to Nashville in 1994 to pursue his music career, and has since toured with national recording acts such as Billy Joe Royal, Ty England, Doug Stone, and Neal McCoy. Shannon has also been a member of the award-winning country music group Ricochet since 2000, and their hit songs "Daddy's Money," "Love Is Stronger than Pride," and many others have taken them to Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macedonia, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and across the entire US to perform. While he loves Ricochet, he left in mid-August to devote his full attention to Deuce Eleven & his new Oklahoma family.
Kelli Doolen Farmer has been performing since the age of 6, and plays several different musical instruments. She was the fiddle player for the Dixie Stampede Theatre in Branson, Missouri, and has performed with country music artists such as Crystal Gayle, John Anderson, Freddie Hart, and David Frizzell. She currently plays fiddle part-time for Johnny Lee, whose hits from the Urban Cowboy era include "Lookin' for Love (In All the Wrong Places)," "Cherokee Fiddle," and many others. Originally from Atoka, Oklahoma, Kelli moved to Tahlequah in 2000 to direct and perform in NSU's Downtown Country. In her time there, she has directed many young talents, including the 2005 American Idol: Carrie Underwood.
Shannon and Kelli were married in December of 2005, and they currently reside in Tahlequah, OK.
Chris Hempfling began playing drums at the age of 3, later added bass and rhythm guitar, and began playing in bands in clubs by the age of 12. He has played in many bands around Oklahoma and on the road, and has played in Nashville on lower Broadway with various different artists. Chris built the drums that he plays, and plans to later pursue a medical career in addition to his musical career. Chris adds, "A little-known fact about me is that I am a big KISS fan. I believe the show you put on is just as important as the music. I have seen KISS in concert 14 times and can't wait for number 15!" Born in Enid, Chris now calls Lahoma, OK home.
Dan Murphy began playing music at the age of 8, and has played professionally for more than 28 years; he currently plays drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, and steel guitar. Before joining Deuce Eleven as a steel guitarist, Dan played in bands such as Murphy’s Law and Raging River, and also played for Rich McCready for two years. When asked about his musical philosophy, Dan replied, “I am a musician and it is an addiction that there is no cure for. Music is what I’m about…it is what I do. It is a gift from God and nothing can stop me from playing except God himself.” In his spare time, Dan enjoys restoring old Cadillacs and other classic cars. Married to wife Eva for 20 years, Dan is the proud grandfather of 3, and is a long-time resident of Miami, Oklahoma.
Nick Tate started playing guitar at age 4 and has since added bass, mandolin, and drums to his repertoire. Before joining Deuce Eleven as a lead guitarist, Nick played with many local and regional touring bands including Roger Springer, and performed for a time at Disney World in Orlando, Florida; he states, “I give my all every time I step on stage, whether it’s a dive in the backwoods or a million dollar casino.” In addition to playing music, Nick enjoys fishing and riding motorcycles. Currently living in Kingston, Oklahoma, he still considers Borger, Texas his home.
