.. ............Myspace Layouts.. - ..Myspace Editor.. - ..Image Hosting.... deus nova formed in the summer of 2005 in wacken germany, by vocalist/drummer antero, guitarist dave, and adam on bass. after a few months of jammin the band decided to ask long time friend and ex orpheus member alex joss to come join on guitar duites. just before christmas it was decided that antero would just concentrate on vocals and that drummer anthony marginson (ex-liquid sky) would join the band and take over drumming duites. straight away there was a difference and songs started flowing along the styles of mayhem and falkenbach. but it was in january 06 that long time friend of the band (and all around genius) rick ogden (liquid sky) was asked to come play keys on a track they had writen but it was clear the band could do with his talent full time. as the songs started flowing and the tunes becomeing more techincal it was clear that the bass just wasnt flowing they way the band wanted it to go and in april 06 adam left the band known as tyr at the time. he was replaced by midland railway guitarist rob who joined on bass and was an instant hit with the band members and it was at this point the band changed its name to deus nova. it wasnt till the 1st of july though almost a year after the formation that the band appeared live onstage. the gig was at antero's stamping ground the thatched house in which he has done plenty of gigs and the venue is now frequently used on the international metal and punk scene. the band went down a storm and got a response none of them could imagine. after another show in august supporting metal legends marshall law it was decided that a change was needed and alex joss left the band since then deus nova played a show at wakefields snooty fox where a live recording was made of that show. in january 2007 antero moved to tampere ,finland while the rest of the band focussed on gettin the songs as tight as possible. since then the band has played one show for local students at club underground in manchester which as with all shows went down a storm. how ever after this show the band went through a troubled time and when anthony left the band in november 2007 it was decided that the band would take a long break. how ever in april 2008 the band reformed and the band has finally entered the studio to record there debut cd which should be out in jan 2009.
