"Beautiful music, beautiful..."
- H.H. The Dalai Lama
After touring non-stop since 1991, and with CD sales of almost one million, Deva & Miten are living proof that the power of mantra is as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.
Eckhart Tolle, spiritual teacher and best-selling author (The Power of Now), says of their music, "As you listen, the sacred space that lies beyond the mind emerges naturally and effortlessly." Brandon Bays, life coach and author of 'The Journey', describes it as, "carrying the listener into realms of ecstasy, bliss, and joy." Another admirer is rock star Cher, who says of The Essence, "It is my favourite CD to do yoga to. In fact I drive my teacher crazy, because it's the only one I ever want to hear!"
Deva and Miten's music is an expression of spiritual devotion, through song and chant. The couple have been living and playing together since 1991, releasing a string of acclaimed CDs along the way. The openness and honesty in which they share their lives and their music has touched the hearts of thousands of seekers throughout the world.
Deva, best known for her top-selling chant CDs, is a classically trained musician and gifted singer, who grew up singing mantras as lullabies in a German home permeated with Eastern spirituality. Her albums, The Essence, Love Is Space, Embrace and Dakshina have topped New Age charts and popularity polls in yoga studios and healing centers throughout the world. Her latest album, Moola Mantra, features an extended presentation of the powerful Moola Mantra, which was received by Deva & Miten during a meditation retreat at the Oneness University in Chennai, India. It honours all spiritual paths, religions, creeds and traditions, and celebrates the divine light in every living being.
Miten, originally from England, was a singer-songwriter in the 70s, opening for such groups as Fleetwood Mac, Lou Reed and Ry Cooder. He later discovered the power of meditation and left the world of rock 'n' roll behind. Miten's focus on the spiritual path is reflected in his meditative, joyful and often sensual songs featured on his CDs, Strength Of A Rose, Dance Of Life and Blown Away. Songs For The Inner Lover, his most recent release, is a favourite of life coach Anthony Robbins, who describes it as: “A powerful and passionate work of love, that truly speaks to the heart and will move your soul. Both Sage and I have been blessed to have the music touch our lives."
Deva & Miten first met in India, at the ashram of the controversial mystic, Osho. Their music arose from their love of their Guru, and through their experience of meditation in the ashram. Encouraged by Miten, who was responsible for the evening meditation music, Deva began singing harmony with him. Later she found her true expression through the rediscovery of the mantras she'd chanted as a child with her father in Germany. And now the Gayatri Mantra has become her constant companion - she and Miten even chanted it on CNBC News!
Deva and Miten's offering to the world is supported by a simple yet elegant vision: Everybody with a voice can sing, and everyone with a breath in their body can experience their divinity.
"Our nourishment and life's work is to create gatherings around the planet where people can come together in celebration and meditation."
"A human being is part of the whole, called by us "Universe," limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest
- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons close to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace ALL humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Thank you for the add. Have a wonderous week Deva & Miten!
Sending you love and blessings,
