Back to 2001, the year that DEVENTTER was formed, the first demo EP "The Beauty…And The Dark Side Of Our Lives", which consists in a 24 minute instrumental song, was recorded by Hugo Bertolaccini (K), André Gabriotti (B) and André Marengo (G).
Since then, DEVENTTER has been growing up and has added 4 musicians to its line-up: Caio Teixeira (D), Danilo Pilla (G) , Felipe Schäffer (V) and, recently Leonardo Milani (B).
DEVENTTER has been working very hard to promote its music to the world, and due to this unstoppable effort, good comments and nice concerts are becoming part of its routine.
Since the release of the debut album, the band members, have been growing up as musicians and also as connoisseurs of Progressive Rock. New influences are joining the old ones. A combination that makes the already-well-accepted songs become even more vivid and energetic when played alive.

In despite of being the first work of a new band formed by very young musicians, The 7th Dimension has been conquering very expressive results, making of DEVENTTER a veteran band.
The very positive reviews on magazines such us Roadie Crew and Valhalla opened the doors of the major clubs and Brazilian festivals. DEVENTTER have played with expressive bands such as Thessera, Freakeys (with Angra musicians), Tempestt, among others.
The explosive shows also leaded the musicians to overcome as individuals. The keyboard player Hugo Bertolaccini was invited by the band Thessera to join them through their European tour when the band played at ElsRock Open Air in Holland with bands such as Nevermore and Dream Evil.
Another great conquering of the band is the fact that DEVENTTER has been pointed by Mike Portnoy, Dream Theater's drummer, as one of the best contemporary Brazilian bands. Through a competition organized by DREAM THEATER, Mike Portnoy chose DEVENTTER to be the opening act for one show of their last Brazilian tour. DEVENTTER and DREAM THEATER played together in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais state, on last march.
Still in this year of 2008, the band did other great shows as the opening gig for Circle II Circle, the new band of the ex-Savatage singer, Zak Stevens. They also took part of the10th edition of Roça ‘n' Roll, one of the biggest Brazilian rock/metal open air festivals.

hey! we are trying to change something... our new singer erik can't be a full member of dreamscape because the stess to travel a lot is affecting his health. so we decided to work with more than one singer - honestly we will work with even more than two... hopefully you will like that idea! we like it a lot because we will be very flexible and our sound will become even more complex! kind regards!
