Devilhorn was born in late 2001 as Ryöti's one-man-project.
Ryöti played everything on the first three demos (some help was given by Andre Lindgren).
Fall 2006; there was an idea to gather a full band for Devilhorn for doing gigs. The first gig already was a huge success driving the band for more. After some gigs Devilhorn particapated on a band contest and from 16 bands, DH reclaimed the throne.
The first "full-band"-release, entitled as Psychotic, saw daylight in March 2007
