Devo aka Devin Deveaux fell in love with house and techno as a young teenage raver in the mid 1990s. In his early 20s he finally sold his beloved guitar to buy a pair of technics 1200s to learn the art of DJing. Devo developed his DJ skills fairly quickly, having been a classically trained musician and songwriter since the age of 7. He quickly begain playing small clubs and huge house parties while in college in Washington DC. During his time in college, Devin also started producing electro-house records for Elan Records (Baltimore) and Formeldehyd (Berlin), and then started playing out at some of the clubs in Washington DC with his then-DJ partner, Larsen Croupier. In 2001, Devin moved to NYC and began playing out at many of the NYC lounges, loft parties and nightclubs, including Pacha, Sullivan Room and Filter 14 to name a few. In 2002 Devin recorded "Indian Summer" for Black Vinyl Records (London), which did very well in Ibiza that summer. Devin took a break from dance music in 2005 to play bass in a few bands, including glam-blues rockers The Pleasure Model. Today he is producing disco-house records and looking forward to DJing again. Gigs coming up soon. Stay tuned...
