In 2003, Dewtone launched as a free music label focusing on forward thinking, easy listening electronic music with the support of artists like Carl Martin (Transient), Dustin Craig (Headphone Science), Tom Dinchak (Phortran), Jasper Boer (Jap Jap), Liam Skogland and James Zdrowski (Iqtu).
With the integration of Dewtone Radio in 2005, the project grew to host a family of like-minded labels releasing some of the most innovative free music on the web.
A great deal has changed in the industry since this project started. With the netlabel scene tattering off, we've been working on developing a platform to cater to an even larger network of talented artists and labels.
By supplying search queries to the most relevant online digital marketplaces, our goal is to effectively promote those responsible for our content and encourage the lawful purchase of music where available.
Pending the new release "Melotonine" (release date coming soon), i decided to offer you a part of my best recent works in a free EP, "Cupboard Replacement", downloadable in all numeric formats with special graphic art works by Flint on Music AutOmatiK's Website :

Kitkatone continues to refine his sound and places a very personal stamp on the concept of what "minimal" is all about.
• "Sablaris" Undulating, behemoth sub-bass woven together with skip-jack percussion. "Sablaris" is a jailbreak punctuated with a subtle, yet profound finish. • "Saakuta" Shadowy, subterrestrial synth tones are masterfully interlaced with a shuffling rhythmic counterpoint. Dynamic interplay between the moving parts allows for a unique cognitive perspective for each listener and a unique mix utility every time for the DJ. • "Jalsi" Straightforward, no-nonsense and built for simple pleasures on the dancefloor. Checkmate. • "Hyva Sauma" Literally translated, this one means "Good Joint" or "Tight Seam". Also can be used in a situation where one thinks that he/she would have a good chance to do something at that moment. "Nyt olisi hyvä sauma tanssia" = "Right now it would be a good time to dance" [click = exclusive Beatportal interview]
