Since its inception in 1995, The Dexter Thomas Band has been performing high-energy shows throughout the South in a wide variety of venues. The 11-piece band features a dynamic combination of male and female lead vocals, allowing for maximum stylistic diversity. Four members of the band have music degrees. Individual members have performed outside of the band both nationally and internationally.
The band has been a popular attraction at festivals and special events and has opened for such acts as Michael Bolton, Kansas, The Guess Who, Leon Russell and many others. The band has also headlined the Conoco Stage and Covista Stage at the annual Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee numerous times.
