Born and raised in the great city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into a family of musicians and entertainers, Desiree Neal, better known as Dezzie has been singing since the age of 7. Having the zeal to serve the Lord with her gift, she practiced daily with her mother from learning how to sing scales on a music chart to performing in front of an audience.
Dezzie developed more of her craft while attending New Covenant Presbyterian Church, singing in the church choir as well as singing background and hooks for local artists in the Philadelphia area. In a time where young aspiring artists that have grown up in the church were leaving to go and experience the secular side of the industry, Dezzie had committed herself to doing the work of the Lord.
She longs to help young women who have gone through or are going through trials in their life to let them know that the greatest Love they could ever experience is with the Lord Jesus Christ. Being a mother of 2 and having been in situations that the Lord has brought her out of, she is honored and eager to share her testimony in songs with those who are hurting. Her personal struggles have molded her into the self-sufficient woman of God she is today. The hunger that she has for more spiritual growth is evident as she sings and shares the love of Christ with others.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit and encouraged by her producers; Eric Booty Greene, Jr. and Irvin Washington, she has been blessed to do 2 albums. Here I Am released back in 2002 and her latest project, Dying Daily A Journey through Spiritual Growth.
Now 5 years down the line, Dezzie has been blessed to grace the stage with various artists such as Smokie Norful, Sound of Blackness, Mary Mary, Cross Movements' Da Truth and her favorite artist and close friend:Tye Tribbett just to name a few. Dezzie has been compared and even labeled as the Jill Scott of Gospel. Dezzie's musical style is equally as diverse with an urban flare. Her style can be described as soulful yet poetic, funky yet classy.
Dezzie's mission is to help back-slidden souls back to Christ. She wants them to know that there is still hope and the lost to know that life is more fulfilling in Christ.

Sometimes deep in ME sadness falls like a comet trying to enter our atmosphere turning to dust like rain turning something strong like metal2rust it shows the passion the hurt the lies the prayers that YOU don’t think are herd or seen I sometimes don’t think anything good was meant to be guess who thought this if YOU guessed ME well you guess correctly
Driving home I hear a song and I feel it as if I was the one who wrote it who experienced it who was singing it or I’M walking somewhere and I see HumanZ in need I know exactly what HE or SHE iZ hungry for and when HE or SHE looks at ME I can see that wish that prayer that hope in THIER EyeZzZ that I was the one who would rescue THEM or that I was the one who would just please forgive THEM or that I was the one who had the water n soap to wash away ALL OF THIER SIN
Laying in MY bed all alone again over and over and over again I just wonder when when when will this loneliness EnD? When will I find HER? When will SHE find ME? When will WE find each OTHER? When will WE just happen to meet? When can WE plan the funeral dig six feet deep? Drop loneliness in and WE skip away down the altar singing till death do US part frame our honeymoon and place it in a museum with the Finest Priceless Pieces of ArT
