Restring, Neck Adjustments, intonation, electrical repairs, complete or partial setups, modifications and hardware installation $30.00 per hour - 1 hour minimum
Most setups (non Floyd Rose) - 2 hours or less
General cleaning and polish of instrument FREE with setups. Detailed or heavy cleaning and polish - regular rates apply.
Repair rates do not include parts.

Dave and DFW Guitars is pleased to announce that we will be open full time, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday starting August 1, 2009. That's right folks, Dave's going to be at the shop full time to meet with you and work on your gear. Come meet our new technician Dave Brown. The two Dave's will be available to get your guitars and basses setup, hotrodded, maintained, restored and appraised 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Throughout the month of July we will be transitioning into this new move and taking a little time to spend with the kids, but we'll be available in the evenings.

DFW Guitars repair facility is located in the StringMasters Custom Shop and Rehearsal Studios complex at 616 North Great Southwest Parkway, Arlington, Texas.
I'm Dave Underwood. Guitars are my passion. Since 1980, I have been buying, selling and trading guitars. I began working in the retail music industry in 1998, and have been repairing and restoring electric and acoustic guitars and basses, as well as amps and orchestra instruments, for Texas and California musicians since that time.

General repair, fretwork (fret dress and adjusting); neck adjustments; bridge adjustments, including intonation; electrical work- rewiring, resoldering, replacing electronic components and pickups; replacement of hardware and parts; installation and readjustment of Floyd Rose tremolo systems, including resetting for change of string gauge or altered tunings; setup of string height (action) specific to player’s requirements; restringing of any stringed instrument; Correction of warped necks; Intonation; Installation of Roland GK Synth Pickup systems; Tuning key installation/repair; Nuts, bridge and saddles replacement; Custom Pickup installation; Input jack repair/replacement; Instrument cable repair; Cleaning.
DFW Guitars now offers ..APPRAISAL SERVICE.. for guitars and basses. We can provide wholesale appraisals(what a store will pay for an instrument), insurance appraisals (replacement value), and retail appraisals (what the going market is if you are looking to sell your instrument). We don't provide appraisals through photos and descriptions. In order to provide an accurate appraisal, Dave prefers to hold the instrument and personally inspect it. He feels it would be a disservice to you to try to "guesstimate" the value without looking it over in person. DFW Guitars provides a Certificate of Appraisal for each appraisal performed. Appraisal fee $35.00 per instrument.
DFW Guitars is an authorized AllParts dealer. If you have broken parts or want to change out parts, there's no need for you to go out shopping for them and then bring them to us, we can provide the parts you want or need. It contains no wax, petroleum products, silicone, teflon or solvents. The polish comes with a high quality micro-fiber polishing cloth which acts like a dirt magnet attracting dust, dirt, grime, fingerprints, body oils and much more. It is also machine washable.
