About me: We are a non-profit society focused on promoting understanding, appreciation, and conservation of reptiles and amphibians; encourage respect for their habitats; and foster responsible captive care.
We meet the third Saturday of every month, and our meetings feature speakers who bring great information, beautiful slides illustrating the animals and the places they live, and sometimes they bring animals, too! Meetings have covered topics as diverse as herping Africa, South America, and here at home in Texas, a glimpse into the operations of major breeders, and the problem of rattlesnake roundups.
Our meetings are the third Saturday of the month at 7:00pm. We encourage members to arrive anywhere from 15 to 30 minuets early in order to meet old or new friends.
The location is the University of Texas at Arlington, Room 118 of the Life Sciences Building. UTA is in central Arlington on Cooper Street. The Life Sciences building is on the south end of the campus, east of Cooper Street on Nedderman Dr.
