mostly, we are influenced by what we turn each other on to, and what our great friends tell us to listen to. dallas and ft worth are amazing pools of talent, and we are lucky enough to have our eyes and ears open to what is happening musically in and around the greater DFW area.
we do find ourselves often under the influence.
and falling for the influence of boys with guitars. and pianos. and drums. and cellos. and trumpets. and dulcimers. and turntables.
and the girls who play, too!

....a work in progress...
so, who are we? two DFW girls with a penchant for good music. we were fed up with the way the local scene was headed - what, with Dada getting screwed by its proprietor, TREES closing, people getting shot in Deep Ellum, and bands refusing to book in a town where 10 years ago it was relatively safe, bands were playing shows to sold out crowds, and DFW bands were getting signed (and not screwed over by majors).
its coming back to life, and we wanted to point out all the great music being played in our own back yard - beit local bands, national tours of up and comers, or smaller tours of adventurous musicians from other parts of the country. we also wanted to have a place where real fans reviewed the music, and not some bitter, overworked journalist with a chip on his or her shoulder because their band sucked, or they don't like brit pop, or whatever stick is up thier ass.
we had this crazy idea 5 months ago, and began taking photos and writing reviews. some of which have yet to be posted because some of us have square jobs on top of being rock junkies. like i said, its a work in progress...
we hit up a lot of shows.
