Odd as it may seem, the following bands were a big influence on me when I was a kid: Minor Threat, Corrosion of Conformity, Bad Brains, Pennywise, NOFX, Bad Religion, Agnostic Front, Slayer, The Ramones, The Misfits, Seven Seconds, The Pixies, The Dead Kennedys, Living Colour, DRI, Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica (pre-"Black Album"), Cannibal Corpse, and many many others...
These don't all necessarily show up in my playing, (at least not on my page yet), but they have all served, at the very least, to provide inspiration.
