McDade ( Monks )...he will never know how much of a hero he is and always will be to me. He is the giver of giggles, hugs and night time tuck in kisses ( eskimo kiss + butterfly kiss + fish kiss ). He is an amazing kid who can make you laugh just by a glance..He is a true ROCK STAR..he is my 6 year old son.

About me: Not a big fan of this section....I was born in the UK and ended up in Charlotte, NC (yes, my Mum sounds English and I sound like I live in Charlotte). Lived in NZ for a bit- killer diving and boarding. It is thought that everyone is our teacher...well, my main teacher is about 3 and a half feet tall and at the age of 5 has the ability to make me smile, ear to ear, just from a giggle. I am a yoga teacher...who rediscovered my love for riding. I stumbled my way back into a bike shop. Thanks to great friends I have fallen madly in love with riding fixed gears and anything else with 2 wheels (unicycles need not apply). When I ride I feel like I am 6 years old again riding in flops, bathing suit and towel around my neck. I have discovered that even at 33 I can laugh until my belly hurts; friends from childhood will find you when you need them the most. I have found that great friendships can be formed by words and not sight. After years of fighting it, I now understand that the universe has a way of working things out. Karma is karma...a path a path...the truth is just that. Knowing the truth and sticking to your path with less resistance...gives you the good karma for the karma bank. In other words....no need to prove what you know. No need to share knowledge learned from a book...No need to just exist. Live your life- some will not agree, some will judge and the others will wish to not "just exist". Everyone knows that it is the DASH that makes the difference. ( born - died )...the rest is...just is.
Ahhh yes, now that I got the deep thoughts side done (seems to be the MySpace rule). I am a Mum who loves her son to the moon and back. I can cry at the drop of a hat: I cry when I laugh and the standard slow-mo ugly cry face.I love yoga, cx, fixies and any other bike oriented goodtimes.
I love music and those who have the ability to create it,I love those who can put paint to a canvas and make amazing works of art, I love those who are sitting in a cubicle, surfing the internet looking for their dream job ( been there ), I love those who can tinker on a bike and find the perfect turn of a wheel.
I am a yoga teacher who will push your edge and then some. I believe in my students and love the trust and community in a studio. I am a teacher who will speak her truth even if it is not pretty. While your toes dangle over the edge I will not judge the attempts made. But appreciate the fact that we are in the same space. I push my edge daily, by choice or by the help of others. Each time I sit on my bike: I find a new edge of "Self" I can push. I do not want to grow old standing in the same spot. I would rather be old with scars and good stories. Than that old lady who is just that...Old and yep, a lady.

Those who have named their bikes, put there new bike right next to their bed to go to sleep ( in bed...not sure about), those who have scars on arms and legs from taking big diggers on and off the bike, Vegans...vegans who do not become ranters about why they do what they do...If ya don't like religious spew why create food lectures....Parents willing to dorkout with their kids in public, those willing to be the change they want in the world, those who know they are not perfect, those who say they don't judge and really don't judge...ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN BMX BANDITS..someone else who laughs at inappropriate times.

yea, i rolled mine twice. the last time rolled, i went into a long sideways skid and it blew out. i didn't crash, but had to run about a mile or so to the pits. no fun
Went with the intention of doing a 90 minute ride on the cross bike and it turned into a 3.5 hr adventure. One of those rare days when everything felt great and didn't want to stop.
BTW, really into Vinyasa lately. Bikram still for maintenance.
