GeneralNature sustains me, and the sacredness of nature keeps drawing me to its special places. When I've been world-weary I've gone into nature, and have been renewed. Blues is like that.
MusicArtists I keep going back to--Lightnin Hopkins, Muddy Waters, Tracy Nelson.....Haydn, Mozart, Brahms.... These days spend a lot of time listening to blues podcasts, and ordering CDs from artists I discover there.
TelevisionDemocracy Now!
BooksHave several thousand of them. Reading has been an important activity of mine for over half a century. Now also spend at least an hour everyday reading news and commentary on the internet. One book I've been spending time with recently is the Bible. Another is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and a third is the I Ching. And...I've also been rediscovering Emily Dickinson lately. A fine poet, sensitive, brilliant, deep, passionate . . . . . and delightful.
HeroesThomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Gandhi, H D Thoreau, Martin Luther King jr., Cesar Chavez, just to name just a few. I hate discrimination and dictatorship, and my heroes are all those who fight for freedom and equality for all, with a deep sense of social responsibility, and without the use of rose-colored glasses.

   Dharma Nick's Blurbs
About me:
Born in Colorado, finished high school in Austin, Texas, and went to college there in the 60s and 70s, after serving four years in the USAF. Although I love other kinds of music as well, when it comes down to it I'm a blues man, plain and simple. Texas blues is at the center, but relatives in Chicago made me aware of Chicago blues, and there's a lot of very good space in between. Live in Japan now, and have been here for a long time.
Who I'd like to meet:
The people who sing and play the blues so beautifully, and those who make the podcasts, to spread the word on what's happening in the blues world today. I've tried to make a list of the blues podcasts I've discovered, and try to listen to regularly. When I know the myspace page of the podcast, I've added it, too. Sometimes there's more than one URL by which the podcast can be reached. They're sort of listed in the order I discovered them. 1) Texas Blues Cafe podcast Texas Blues Cafe on myspace at; Texas Blues Cafe 2) Murphy's Saloon podcast Murphy's Saloon on myspace at: Hieronymus Murphy 3) Roadhouse podcast Roadhouse 4) Salty Dog Blues N Roots podcast Open Grazr on myspace at: Salty Dog 5) Bluz n da Blood and on myspace at bluesndablood 6) Backalley blues, talkcastor BackAlleyBlues 7) There's a blog, for the following podcast dablues blog through which the podcasts can be downloaded, or you can download them from DaBlues and on myspace at: Vasco 8) Raven n Blues podcast Raven n the Blues podcast 9) South Australian Roots and Blues podcast South Australian Roots and Blues podcast 10) Uncensored History of the Blues podcast There are several useful URLs for this podcast. Uncensored History of the Blues Uncensored History of the Blues 11) Mark Kerr's Blues Nation podcast Mark Kerr's Blues Nation the podcast is at: Blues nation 12) Hambone's Blues Rumshack podcast Hambone's Blues Rumshack 13) Bandana Blues podcast Bandana Blues current podcast download page: Bandana Blues 14) The Blues File from WXPN For more about this podcast, see: The Blues File WXPN 88.5 FM :: Public Radio from the University of Pennsylvania 15) Pacific Street Blues & Americana I only hope I'll have time to do a fairly decent job of keeping this list up-to-date. Suggestions are always VERY welcome. Always interested in meeting new blues-lovers, podcasts, and blues singers.

In buddhism the elephant is a symbol of mental strength.

At the beginning of one's practice, the uncontrolled mind

is symbolised by a gray elephant who can run wild any moment

and destroy everything on his way. After taming one's mind,

the mind which is now brought under control

is symbolised by a white elephant strong and powerful,

who can be directed wherever one wishes

and destroy all the obstacles on his way.

Namaste' my dear friend!

Hi Dharma Nick
We wanna thank you for your very important support
in those sad days.

This thanx are in our name, in the name of Enrico's wife Paola and in the name of his sons.

Enrico Micheletti's ashes are flyin' throughout the universe
and we hope his soul is finally arrived at a beautiful destination.

What about his music and the music we had recorded toghether?

We finally decide to get it out.
We wanna remeber Enrico in this way.
In the first quarter of 2009 we will publish all our and Enrico Micheletti' s materials on Itunes and many other stores on the web.

We'll send you a message when it's all ready.

God bless you!!!

Marry Christmas and Have a wonderful 2009!!!

KEEP THE BLUES ALIVEEEE!!!!!!!

Appena sarà tutto pronto ti faremo sapere.

Per adesso ti auguriamo Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo.

“There is not a single aspect
of the eighty-four thousand sections
of the Buddha's teachings
which is not contained
in Avalokiteshvara's six syllable mantra
"Om Mani Padme Hum",
and as such the qualities of the "mani"
are praised again and again
in the Sutras and Tantras....
Whether happy or sad,
if we take the "mani" as our refuge,
Chenrezig will never forsake us,
spontaneous devotion will arise in our minds
and the Great Vehicle will effortlessly be realized.
