Central Florida-based Disposable Heroes is the
perfect collaboration of ultra-talented musicians performing a vast array of
popular songs from the 60's all the way to the newest modern rock hits -- in a
way that must be witnessed first-hand live to fully comprehend. Stimulating your
audio nd visual senses is what they do best by performing each band's material
that they cover-- as if it were their own. It's like going to see a big rock
show at your favorite local club or bar. Everywhere the band performs they seem
to convert fellow music-lovers into friends and fans who make it a priority to
keep track of when and where the band is performing so they can plan another
entertaining evening full of their favorite music and incredibly good times. Kenny, Mike, Gary and Jeff
bring massive amounts of musical abilities and performance experience wherever
they perform. Once you have a chance to witness them live -- you'll soon
understand why Disposable Heroes are often told by random people who have just
experienced the band for the first time... that they are the BEST band they have
EVER seen live... Kenny Martin, former front-man of Orlando's
Curb 60 as well as several other popular Orlando
bands, Mike Collard, former guitar player of Orlando-based
Dmanufacture and Minnesota's Sidewalk Preacher met for the
first time as Curb 60 was playing their final show at City Walk in Orlando. The
two developed a tight friendship and a musical connection that was practically
"surreal" as Mike describes it. "We decided to get together and jam out a few
tunes just to see how it would work. After the first verse of the first song we
played together, I literally had goosebumps. Our voices blended perfectly. Our
harmonies sounded incredible." After a short while performing with various
band members, they hooked up with Gary Sobel and Jeff Chomin...
most recently from Wind-up Record's Big Dismal. Mike recalls,
"These guys are like a machine! I've never jammed with anyone before that just
blew me away! When after the first (45) seconds of the first song you play
together you're sittin' there saying to yourself HOLY SHIT this is gonna ROCK!"
Gary and Jeff have actually performed in various bands together since the age of
(13). Jeff states, "Gary
is one of the best bass players I've ever played with. It probably has something
to do with our playing together for so long--we just seem to read each other's
minds when it comes to rhythmical fills and changes. We've played so many shows
together and it's just mind-blowing that we're still playing together since the
days of our first middle-school band!If there's such a thing as musical
soul-mates, I believe we've found them in Kenny and Mike. We all had this look
of amazement on our faces after we sat down for the first time and got through
(15) songs and nailed some killer four-part vocal harmonies. We're like a big
family now and that's the kind of band that each of us has always wanted. All of
us enjoy playing covers of various bands from various musical genres because we
love all styles of music and it keeps our abilities sharpened. Getting paid well
to do what you love is never a bad thing either. We do also have an unnamed
original project and are currently hard at work recording a bunch of new
material in my studio. I can't wait to hear how they're going to turn out."
Aside from being in Big Dismal with Jeff, some of Gary's credits
include Tampa-based 10 Second Drop, New York City's--Earthwurm
(also with Jeff) and Syracuse New York's--Dogs
On Mars. Jeff has recorded/toured with Jamie Blake of A&M Records and Sony/Columbia's Fat... as well as a
number of other bands while living in NYC for (8) years. For booking

I will miss DH but am glad I was able to share some good times with all you boys. I guess from now on I'll have to listen to my Mom to hear your sound since you sound like her. =)
xo boys may all of you be off to bigger and better things.
FACT: D.H. shows = ridiculous fun mixed with great music.
Description: they rock face, condone the ingestion of massive quantities of alcohol, and crowd bars with beautiful women.
Caution: may experience a rise in heart rate, lowered inhibitions, and possible neck strain...due to women ;-)...if you have a history of heart disease in your family consult your local physician.
