It came to light today that any Justice for Bryan Cole Parker is in the hands of God. The DA of Lubbock County, Texas has declined to follow through on a process that began two years ago. The child protective service conducted an investigation at the request of doctors who helped save Bryan's life. The results of that investigation brought an arrest, with charges filed against a woman who was looking after Bryan. The DA took the case before a grand jury and was granted permission to move the case to trial. Pre-trial hearings took place, but the defense was granted delays. And now the case has been dropped!
Our children are at risk every day, and all I can do is ask, what are law abiding citizens supposed to do, when the justice system fails to support us in raising our children?
Unfortunately, this happens all too often across our country. It is because we don't hold those in our justice system accountable for their actions, or lack or actions. Career criminals are set free to prey on innocence, and we are left to pick up the pieces.
We are grateful to the Lord for keeping Bryan alive and for having restored him to such a loving and fun little boy who continues to bring joy to everyone who gets to know him. But we now trust that God will take charge of the justice for Bryan that failed him, here on earth. We also pray that God will strengthen Bryan's parents and family. That they are granted peace and enjoy only happiness with Bryan who has come to mean the world to me.
