Dariusz Stawicki a.k.a. DHUNA is a person which I remember from a few events under the baton of Toga Dansverg and Psychotoons Project, both in summer outdoor (Moondalla festival, beach Smile club) and the "four walls" (GGOG club, the walls of shipyard Zion club), where he became fortified with lot of synthesizers etc. providing my (and others) hearing receptors a nice flowing cross of chillout sound mixed with electronics. At some point, hearing about himself missing, but after some time Darius quite unexpectedly returned with the new album "The Return". I have to admit that Dhuna made piece of good job and his music can not be accused of anything. On the album consists of a total of eight compositions, of which seven are first-class thoroughbred chillout, and the last of the numbers is an easy perception sympathetic progressive trance, I think milder cuts by 12 Moons, or even Aural Planet of the old days of their faster production. Thanks to contrast with each other and the chillout world of trance you can hear that Dhuna well feel both in imaging more quiet sounds, and as full of dynamism sounds. The whole is very light perception, and the numbers are an ideal backdrop to work at a computer, couch fate and other operations of this type. Also negligible in this merit Helena Janek - Kuśmierczyk, who in turn gave heir voice tracks "Alone", "Fantasy" and "Tutka Mai”. Her soothing vocals perfectly interact with these compositions and the overall vision of artist. You have to admit that Darius has a talent for creating simple, but enchanting tracks. The different compositions are not typical chillout balloons, nice on the outside, but empty inside. Of course, with hundreds of thousands of times repeated theme of chillout is hard to squeeze anything new, but the Dhuna productions have a special charm, and not once mouth pressure the text of the cult polish movie "Hydrozagadka": "It is brilliant in its simplicity". In conclusion, the album "The Return" is at the same professional level as the other albums of this type of sound, and therefore "Aural Planet - Acoustic Plantation Releases", "Sundial - Metabasis" or "Sundial Aeon - Apotheosis". If you like a well-constructed chillout, then certainly this disc is for you. What's more? Another musical proposals from Higher Taste Project are the most desirable.
''Dhuna (AKA - Dariusz Stawicki), has perhaps unwittingly written a seminal work in the psy-chill genre. Everything about the album oozes quality. Firstly, let me start with the cover art. Beautiful and well arranged graphically, it is perfect in it's subtlety. Reflecting the ambient tones held within accurately, with it's colour scheme and fonts. Track 1, 'Alone', sets the scene. Blessed out pads and melody repeat rhythmically over serene female backing vocals. The track gradually builds a little pace, but never really strays from 'ambient'. From here, the album moves forward, taking the listener through a journey into ambient sound-scopes. It doesn't however rely on harsh tempo changes, or shocking rhythem to achieve this, but more on penetrating consonance and melodiousness. Haunting vocals also play a major role, namely in binding all the elements together. Fans of ethnic influenced tunefulness will definitely not be disappointed. Track 5, 'Tutka Mai', sees things step up a notch, yet again, with the introduction of a 4 to the floor beat. It sits shoulder to shoulder with a nice acid riff, but somehow maintains dignity, while avoiding anything remotely resembling abrasiveness. Track 7, 'Pyscu', has to be my favourite though. Akin to those whom I'd call 'stalwarts of chill', it shows real promise and imagination. It secretes atmosphere from every pore, and as several DJ sets have proved since I got this album, it happily stands toe to toe with the more established names of 'ambient'. Paced at a leisurely 90bpm, it chugs nicely with a gentle 4 to the floor rhythm section and a meek, yet acid drenched lead line. The kind of tune I’ve been comfortably playing in the middle of the night, or on a bright and spectacular day. The 8 track album, finishes nicely with a pace 146bpm journey, entitled, 'Activated'. Still within the realms of psy-chill, yet with a certain sense of urgency about it, I fell for this track, hook, line and sinker. I perfect way to round things off. All in all, I found this album of exceptional quality. Good chill out for all occasions, well produced, and highly imaginative. A worth-while investment for fans of ambient sound-scapes. This has already made it into a few of my sets, and will no doubt stay in my chill folder for a good while to come!''
Review By Chris Nanook (Strange Daze / Boogie Beats Records)
Music has been my passion for many years. Since the age of seven years I started music education programs in piano class. After completing education I continued my music passion for another few years. Over the years, my musical horizons turned to the electronic music. Inspired by the classic variant I decided to explore the possibilities of modern musical instruments. Together with Dominik "Dodo" Markiewicz, in 1997 we founded the duo Neuron Gates. Thru brain storming sessions we put together ideas, some of them were used as a background music to documentaries and advertising by regional and national television stations: TVG – TVP3, PTK 1, PTK 2 and TVN. Our music also appeared on 3 CDs, a multimedia presentation. Composed of works chosen from among 11 compositions, which were recorded on our debut album "Out From The Minds". In 2001 Dodo left a project and I decided to create the new one with more underground and spiritual music. I met Mantodea and he showed me a lot of things about psychedelic culture. For years Dhuna also was a part of the scene in GGOG club and played gigs and festivals across the country.
Recently a lot has happened: in 2005 I moved to England and here I completed my studies in sound engineering (Glyndŵr University). Here I also created some new sound material. The new album is too long in duration, but unfortunately these were the conditions set out by the university and... Now Dhuna is coming back on stage as is my new chillout album “The Return”.
In the last year together with my friend Martin we started project which is called "Higher Taste Project". This is a small indie label and touring team - will soon be launched on the official web site, preparing a few surprises ... but more details soon. We also had a really good time with all of people who we met on tour last year - 2008 (Magikana, Monkey Forest, Ozora, Boom, and many others). We are glad that we were a part of OZORA Festival in Hungary where we setup a really nice tent with fresh and tasty vegetarian food.
Much respect and special thanks:
Sabina and Marcin Bialy, Mantodea, Snake, Damian Kostrzewa, my family, Robert Usewicz, Colin Heron, Richard Smith, Simon Rhodes, Mike Wright, John Reynolds, Glyndŵr University "The Wall Studio" and many, many others…
Many thanks and regards for you all.
Please feel free to get in touch.

Our first Open Air Festival is coming next summer at the end of June 2010. Full information will be given soon.
South African Corona, whose second album is getting ready to be launched on Solar Tech very soon, and his compatriot Chabunk teamed for a Sunset Safari. As this term implies, it is an beautiful but also an adventurous tour that awaits the listeners. On the contrary of cheesy standard melodies, these varied tracks put the idea of Trance in a nutshell and distinguish themselves by forcing power and deepness. While most of them represent the creativity of South Africa, also material from Brazil, Chile, the UK and Germany is included.

Pradox vs Bassid ‘Exfoliator’ digital ep is out! :)
It is a fateful occurrence meeting a soulmate on life’s trip whose points of view, taste, and interests are so homogeneous to your own that words are unnecessary in process of creating and composing! The duet project of Pradox vs Bassid is an example of one of these chance encounters. Every track is a masterpiece guiding you through thought, travel, dream, and freakout through dance. Their sound is flawless and full of inspirational harmonies. Pradox vs Bassid’s music is one reason why Arkona Creation Music and Art Label has been created! This music is a true stimulus in keeping ourselves and other positive and full of joy!
1. JAMON... Imagine being in a funky ping-pong game of sounds in an animated battlefield. This pumping bass beats and intriguing background pads of whistling, flying, and shooting keep your body moving and your mood in curiously high spirits.
2. TRAMPOLINE... Is a progressive piece of musical cake filled with funky bass and combined with a variety of percussion elements to propel you slowly across the dance floor. As if on a magical train expelling colorful steam, we are transported to a fairy tale land full of funky characters.
3. UNLOCK... With instinctive synths and a progressive trance bass, this track is an intelligent blend of technique and style. The abysmal depth of tunes build up a ritualistic intensity which can easily guide one through the 5th dimension.
