I am a studio guitarist which means I don't play in a band, which has its own positives and negatives, yet helps me explore my own creative abilities with infinite freedom. I am currently on the lookout for a band so if you are relatively local to the Basildon area and need a guitarist, message me!
History People ask me how I learned how to play guitar. Well I didn't start learning it straight away. I started playing clarinet and other woodwind first of all when I was 3 years old and learned how to play classical music and learned music theory from a young age. I did not move onto the guitar properly until I was about 12 years old when I wished I had started playing it when I was 3 in the first place! The reason why I love making music with the guitar is because it is the instrument where to my ears I can produce the widest range of tones styles and expressions. Once I started learning it was simply matter of learning the techniques on the guitar without having to worry about what notes to hit, because I already knew most of the theory at the time and knew what kind of a sound I wanted. My influences include many great guitarists: Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai amongst others. I strive to learn lessons from these guitarists and develop my own style of playing. It's not about being, it's about becoming. I think music has become a neglected blessing in the world. Music has become so much more visual and abused, and this means people can hear, but they don't listen! We must all make a stand against those who wish to abuse the very artform which is music! The exhale is the exact moment, Time steps aside allowing the realization of pure emotion to prevail. An exhale can be filled with love, lust, desire, hate, envy and or rage. The exhale are those moments, we both long for and are in fear of. Moments we wish would last forever and moments we would live over again. Equipment The music I make is created with Reason 3.0 using an Evolution MK-361C MIDI Controller. The guitars I use are mainly Ibanez Jems, Gibson Fenders, but you may also hear the tones of Danelectros in some of the tracks as well! I use two different effects units, one is the Pod XT Live, the Digitech RP3 Signal Processor and the Digitech Whammy. Music is mixed and mastered using Cubase SX3, Wavelab, using a selection of Waves plug-ins.
