D-LINC: inane synth music since 2007
It all started when a 15-year-old with weird music tendencies decided to make a send-up of another musical act at his school. His first attempt at the parody failed, but it made him realise that his cheap Linux rip-off of FL Studio had some air miles in it. And so he decided to start letting people laugh at his music.
The name comes from the term in the video game Beneath a Steel Sky given to the "untouchables" in the city-state it is set in: when one is a D-LINC (LINC status 0), they forfeit all society privileges and their ability to move around the city, and must live constantly in the shadow of their far less pleasant superiors.
As of writing (10th October), D-LINC is dead on indefinite, but hopefully not permanent in the slightest. hiatus.
