Our Influences are as varied as the musicians in the band. From Rock to Swing to Funk to Country to Pop - they have all melded into one big glob of DSB!
Sounds Like
As a cover band, we play a wide range of songs from Glenn Miller's In the Mood and Journey's Don't Stop Believin' to Rihanna's Please Don't Stop the Music and Lady Gaga's Just Dance - and everyting in between. We have our own unique sound that distiguishes ourselves from the artists that originally played these songs.
Back around St. Patrick's Day in 1994, the Diablo Sandwich Band made it's inauspicious start as a two piece acoustic act playing in an Irish Tavern. As the band continued to play, and the number of people coming to see the show increased, so did the number of pieces in the band. Adding a bass player, then a drummer, then a keyboard player, and then a sax player. But on the night before Thanksgiving in 1995, the band played a show that changed the direction of the Diablo Sandwich Band for good.
For it was at that show that the band first played with a second horn player. And that show was the true beginning of the DSB, because the band would never again play without its signature horn section.
Over 15 years later, DSB is still rockin' the bars with no end in sight!
