"DIABOLIC POSSESSION - is the gravest form of demonic activity, which allows a continuing presence of a demon in a human body. The evil symptoms do not have to be continuous but can alternate between periods of crisis and periods of rest. Possession implies intervals of temporary suspension of mental, intellectual, affective, and volitive faculties. Symptoms can include the knowledge of languages unknown to the victim, superhuman strength, and the ability to know the occult or someone else's thoughts. Typically, there is an aversion to anything sacred, often in conjunction with blasphemy."
The "Possession" began in the early days of Death Metal and Thrash. Inspired by bands such as Celtic Frost, Mercyful Fate, Destruction, Voivod, Bathory, and Slayer, plus earlier metal bands like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, the band set out to forge a metal sound of their own.
In 1993, Diabolic Possession released the "Ripped To Pieces" E.P. on cassette. It was later released on CD by Ground Zero Entertainment. "Ripped To Pieces" consisted of the songs Ripped To Pieces, Reign Of Terror, Cranial Miasis, and From The Gates Of Hell. They later recorded a full-length album "Return To The Grave". The album showed the musical growth of the band. "Return To The Grave" included the songs Sarcophagus, The Other One, Torn Off Fingernails, The Possession, Exhumed, The Second Coming Of Christ, and The Desolate One. Unfortunately, it was never released. The band broke up before recording was completed.
Then, in 2002, Diabolic Possesion reformed and released the "Dark Seraphim" E.P. on Assaulter Productions. "Dark Seraphim" consists of the songs Sarcophagus, Fall Of The Rebel Angels, Torn Off Fingernails, and Order Of Deception. The CD also contains the entire "Ripped To Pieces" E.P. as a bonus! Diabolic Possession are back and they'll leave you... ...Ripped To Pieces!

This album "Seraphim" is now re-released as a "recueil" of 2 previously releases as demos. The kick off is given with a classic "Sarcophagus" which already has been performed almost 10 years before...think of NASFERATU, another band i used to correspond with back in the early 90's...Diabolic Possession is taking muuch further...and even Hilario is the ex-Nasferatu drummer....look how the world is small....Multum in parvo! ....ok nuff talking, you should really see how the dinosaurs go full speed when they charge...."Fall Of The Rebel angels" is a jewel of pure blasting brutality...that ten slows down with amazing guitar solos and extremely diversified vokills performed by Jones....Yes, looks like the band is now a quatuor and has not lost any single bit of its efficiency when it was a quintet when they recorded "Ripped To Pieces"...Vocals get more guttural with "Torn Off Fingernails" with tons of excellent guitar riffs....think of these nice old school american type of riffing like Rottrevore....i love it! "order Of Deception" starts full speed and then got these secret riffs building up....think NASFERATU, ABSU...that is what i LOVE Old school American Death Metal like in the late 80's... "Ripped to pieces" is wickedly played....think of a faster and more mature version of what they played back in 1993...they just added speed and perfection. One think is sure...i totally LOVE dinosaurs! and these dinosaurs are DIABOLIC POSSESSION! "Dark Seraphim" is available RIGHT NOW...and you MUST GET it! www. diabolicpossession. com
