Was into the UK electronic scene in the 90's. Managed to see gigs by many of good acts around at that time: Orbital, Underworld, Sabres of Paradise, Spooky, Ultramarine, Aphex Twin, Fluke, Seefeel, Lamb, Global Communications. However I have much wider tastes than just electronic music, so I'm happy these days frequenting The Big Chill & Soxan where the vibe is eclectic. Current favourite producer is Ulrich Schnauss. Also like rocking out to AC/DC after a few beers, or chilling out to Nick Drake & Low.

Dialog> is the alias of London based producer Andy Smith
His productions fuse deep electronic beats to a warm, atmospheric, cinematic sound. His first demos were picked up by Dave Mothersole, who featured tracks on his show on Kiss FM. This led to official releases and collaborations with VJs to present audio-visual gigs.
Jeffrey Disastronaut: Deep House hasn't sounded better than this all year. A standout
Neil Matthew (resident DJ at Retro Quiz Night, The Pigrim, Billericky, Essex): All a bit moody & arty farty for me.
Breakbeat, dub, jungle, 90's techno, ambient and even a smattering of Paris Texas style blues guitar has found their way into the Dialog> melting pot to create a post-club brooder of an album.
The debut album fusing deep house beats to a cinematic sound.
I-DJ magazine: Dialog tug at the heartstrings with ease.......great smoking fodder for those post club or post work moments when you all you need is a big fat smoke and an aural massage.
CALMSCAPE: “Music For Imaginary Movies” brings a unique direction to the genre that up-and-comers will attempt to duplicate and avid enthusiasts will chill out with on many a warm breezy after-party night. Production artists in this genre often struggle to innovate, but Dialog has spun out a BT meets Schnauss inspired album with impressive layering and structure, and an attention to detail that separates it from the pack
Music-News.com: If you're a fan of deep atmospheric house music, this is a must.

History
Dialog started life as a collaboration between producers Andy Smith & Alan Platten (taoyoyo).
They met at cubs and both failed to earn many badges, which laid the foundations of a long term friendship that eventually led to a musical collaboration.
They were veterans of the 90's electronic scene and saw many of the key acts: Orbital, Underworld, Sabres of Paradise, Spooky, Ultramarine, Aphex Twin, Fluke, Seefeel, Lamb & Global Communication.
They co-wrote 6 of the 8 tracks from Music for Imaginary Movies together.
Alan now works as a designer in the USA, but still contributes artwork from afar.Andy still records under the Dialog> alias.
