D-Mine is a two man squad that commands the mic, demands attention and will have the crowd jumping even after the show is done. Many artists strive to reach a certain level of hype that only few can attain. D-Mine on the other had strives to push the envelope of that level with each and every show. Compiling their CDs bass pounding heart stopping beats, along with pop with twisted punch lines, dances, and with bass pounding heart stopping beats to melodic guitars, strings, and synths D-Mine is committed to crossing over genres and delivering in the form of Hip-Hop “The Best of Many Worlds”.
D-Mine was created on the basis that originality is the key ingredient in making music. Darrow and El met in high school, after many freestyle sessions in the lunchroom and doing a couple talent shows together. They created D-Mine, after gain notoriety at high school they dropped their first CD called “Mayhem”. Their first single “Pass Me Da Rock” being a lyrical playground with thoughtfully worded punch lines topped off with a catchy hook. Quickly had students and school staff members alike were impressed with their work. They made the headline of the first ever Shoreview Cultural Expo, thrown by the mayor and city council members. After the performance the City council members requested that they play at The Slice of Shoreview, a local city fair that draws in over 3000 people. Following the success of the show previous shows D-Mine dropped “The Movement” that helped further their presence on the Minneapolis scene. D-Mine continues to carry on the values that gained them recognition in their hometown, from playing at the Minneapolis Uptown Art Festival to playing inside Hot Topics. Now with the new release of the single “So Off the Chain (remix)” from the unreleased CD “Just Another Face in the Crowd” which has gotten radio buzz in Minneapolis’s own B96. D-Mine is here to leave their mark in Minneapolis and the world.
