Born Diamond Stone to parents Angie Stone of The Sequence and Vertical Hold and Rodney Stone A.K.A. Lil Rodney Cee of The Funky 4+1 and Double Trouble, on April 6th 1984 in New York, New York moved to Columbia, SC as a child to be raised by her maternal grandparents. Diamond attended the public schools in Columbia and graduated from high school in 2002. Upon graduation she was enrolled in college at Clark-Atlanta University, but shortly returned home to be near her family. Diamond decided to try the college thing one more time and enrolled at South Carolina State University where she is currently a junior Business Marketing major.
Diamond has been on the scene for a few years now doing her own thing. She has been apphiliated with many artists from Columbia, Sc to Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, Ga and New York, NY. You can find her credits on the Angie Stone album Stone Love where she and her mother have a duet, "You're Gonna Get It" she can also be spotted on her mother's up-and-coming album which will hit the market in the fall. Diamond is a great singer/songwriter. She has been a home-at project for her mother. Diamond recently has been a background singer for her mother since the tender age of 16. Doing her first show at age 15 in Central Park, NY for a crowd of more than 10,000. At age 18, Diamond went on tour with her mother overseas for the first time and after that it was all she wrote. The young star in the making had a taste of what the music life was all about, and she has been making music ever since.
Currently, Diamond is still waiting for some deals to hit the table but she is stedily working on new music. She has been ready for a long time and is willing to go the distance. Diamond has an incredible range and great story telling ability. She loves writing and whatever the situation she has a story for it. Many believe that she has been sheltered and doesn't know about the street life but once you sit down and talk to her you will learn that life isnt all peaches and cream for this phenomenal young lady. She would probably tell you about all the rough things she has seen and how much harder she has had to work because of the stereotypes that have been placed upon her at such a young age. Either way she is ready to show the world what she is about and she hopes that you are able to comprehend.
Now, at age 23 Diamond has a point to prove. She wants to show the world that she is a force to be reconed with. With hits like Dope Boi Dreamz, speaking from her point of view on the lives of all the street pharmacists and U Str8, a strategically mastered track about what happens when old lovers reunite through a phone conversation. Diamond is ready, willing and able to let everyone know that she is the real deal. It is absolutely undeniable, Diamond will take the streets by force and show you what Hood&B is all about!!!
