Spirituality, dreams, astrology, dance, music, movies, books, friends and writing
Music
My absolute favorite is the music of 2002! Their music helps me heal! I also love Steve Halpern's Crystal Suite.
Josh Groban (he has a song that reminds me of my Dad and another that helps me remember the best times of a necessary relationship that greatly changed me, even though he broke my heart), The Wreckers, The Bangles
Movies
Drop Dead Fred (my favorite), The Princess Bride, Buffy The Vampire Slayer - movies that are silly and make me laugh. I love Hellboy becasue I saw it with my true love.
Television
House, Bones, According to Jim, Dexter, Craig Ferguson, Jay Leno, Still Standing and Reba
Books
Most of the books I read are either about astrology, computers, finance, dreams, spirituality or health.
Heroes
Christopher Reeve and those who believe in themselves and conquer disease and adversity! My Parents have been my heroes too - taking care of me and loving me unconditionally!
Hi, my name is Diane. In 2002, my life began a series of change. I had a malignant spinal tumor and was diagnosed with an extremely rare bone cancer, called Chordoma. The tumor created paralysis and I still have nightmares about losing the use of my legs. Through faith and hard work, I was able to eventually get some movement back but I do live with many physical limitations.
Since my cancer diagnosis, many things have happened. I have had three major surgeries, lost my Father to cancer in 2005 (and buried him on my birthday that year, I have lost many people and my beloved pets. I am blessed through to have a second chance at life and a Mother who loves me unconditionally and makes room for me so I am not living on the streets during this difficult time. I have not been able to work in two years and I am in the appeal portion of our disabilty system. I've lost everything, except my spirit and I'm learning to ask for help. It has been hard since I have used up all my resources and I haven't been able to afford my annual MRI testing to check for tumor recurrence.
If you are interested in helping me, you can click on the ChipIn link and copy/paste the URL into your web browser. It is hard feeling like a burden but I am hopefully that I can turn my life around. Thank you for listening.

Aside from the current state of my life, I will leave my old profile information in place. My work was so tied into my identity and I really miss being able to work:
Cincinnati is my hometown, I enjoy experiencing the change in seasons. Movies, music and comedy are some of my past-times, as well as family, friends, books and alternative therapies. I have done many things with my life including a long career in business and information technology (computers usually don't complain!).
I have several credentials, building them was important to me for some reason at a certain point in life. Some include: Professional Human Resources (PHR), Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the States of Ohio and Kentucky, National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP), Traditional Reiki Master (TRM), Licensed Managing and Manicurist in the State of Ohio (LMM).
I was born with several psychic gifts and have worked as a psychic, medium, intuitive (whatever term you are comfortable with). I enjoy connecting with like-minded people and today I use these gifts to help my friends and family when they need it. Over the years I have had a lot of training in various areas of this field.
In 2002, I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Chordoma. It affects approximately 1 in 2,000,000 which I believe was life's way of telling me I am special. I am somewhat famous in the local medical community since the doctors diagnosed me as paraplegic at that time and today can't figure out how I was able to walk again. I say our minds are very powerful and we can overcome any challenge with the right attitude.
I believe a positive attitude is important and the newest theme of my life. I feel complete as a person and trust life. I have some wonderful friends and family, who keep me centered and occasionally help me refocus.

1. My life is likely to last only 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful. 2. Give me time to understand what you want of me. 3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being. 4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainments, but I have only you. 5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me. 6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it. 7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you. 8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak. 9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old. 10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so. ~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters~ Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs!
