Diane Kaplan is a folksinger and guitarist, and more recently a songwriter as well. "Diane and Ada" (Diane Kaplan and Ada Moriel) are a well known folk music duo in Israel playing and singing folk music from around the world in more than 10 languages. They create a beautiful and original sound by their beautiful blend of rich vocal harmonies and ethnic instruments. They have produced 3 CDs to date, World Folk, Irish, and the latest "Kol HaNeshama" - an eclectic collection of Jewish music and original material. "Diane and Ada" perform all over the country of Israel - private shows, festivals, and peace festivals and their guest musicians often include a combination of Jews and Arabs. Diane's song: Peace Will Come - Shalom/Salam is a collaberation between "Diane and Ada" and Salem and Balsam Darwish - father and daughter from the Arab town of Rami. Balsam, age 15, sings the Arabic and father Salem translated it, plays drums and speaks at the end..................
Diane is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the group "Forever Young" presenting a program called "Mostly Dylan"- playing just that - mostly Bob Dylan covers along with popular, country, gospel and folk music. Band members include: Shay Tochner - guitar, harmonica, banjo and
Adam Mader - fiddle and mandolin

More recently, Diane has started a choir in the village of Yodefat in the Galilean Hills of northern Israel where she lives. This group meets regularly for the joy of singing together and opening hearts. A small group out of this larger one also sings for people in need of healing or for those passing into the next world.
In July 2007 and 2008 Diane traveled to Northern Germany to be a vocal workshop teacher at the "Unicorn Voice and Dance Camp". She taught songs from the Jewish tradition and songs from the Middle East in Hebrew, Arabic and English. Diane's visit to Germany also included solo performances in the Hitzacker Church and in Lebensgarten in Steyerburg. In Hitzacker she was joined by the local choir "ClangVarben" lead by Raaja Fischer.
