I’m inspired by music. All my characters have theme songs and I always know what kind of music they listen to. I’d love to chat to folks who are similarly compulsive about songs and fiction, while being broad-ranging in what’s interesting.
I always enjoy trying something different – new books, new styles of music, new artists, new paths to the happily-ever-after (although there’s always an HEA!). I’d like to meet folks who have the same adventurous spirit.
Music
I’ll listen to almost anything at least once, but here are some of my standards: Celtic rock, Queen, Renaissance and baroque music
Movies
I know it's cheesy, but I love the Fifth Element, anything directed by Ridley Scott or John Cameron, and The Mummy and The Mummy Returns
Books
Anything by Linda Howard, Dorothy Sayers, Elizabeth Lowell
The Sheik by E.M. Hull (bonus points if you’ve read it and seen the movie!)
A lot of biographies and non-fiction. I adore digging up odd facts in first-hand accounts.
About me: By day, I build and design computer systems for the federal government. By night, I escape into a world of alpha males and the unique women who turn their lives upside down. Noticing the lack of a husband to keep me in line, my Tibetan Terrier stepped up to the plate and makes sure that I do everything The Right Way – in Tibetan Terrier terms, of course.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to chat to anyone who enjoys romance, action and suspense – the same elements that I enjoy myself.

A Happily Ever After of Her Own
Melinda Lightfoot, a preschool teacher with an unusual ability to flit in and out of fairy tales, never thought she would get into trouble...
...until the Fairy Tale Police arrest her while she is in Beauty and the Beast. They offer her a deal: Find Beauty, who left the story when Melinda trespassed into it, or be charged with the ultimate crime -- Fairy Tale Killer. If that's not bad enough the Beast tags along in search of his true love, and Melinda starts falling for the fairy tale prince. She must choose between doing the right thing and having her own happily ever after.
Recently, I added a new song to my music player called, "Always" which might be one of the best songs I've written so far. Tthe chorus was scored for an entire violin section, however, in studio, I had one violinist, Jan "Yes I Can" Sullins. I asked her to single handedly create the sound of a "Hollywood style" string section. This is almost like telling someone, "Please jump rope one handed 10 times while monkeys nip at your feet."
Lucky for me, Jan worked some magic and now you can hear it on track 1 in my music player. It's called "Always" and is from my upcoming album, "Awakening," to be released June 16th.
