Diarmuid is a 20 year old Dj/Producer from Letterkenny in the North-West of Ireland. He became interested in music at a very young age and as a child played many instruments including the guitar and keyboard. After a brief encounter with punk rock he started listening heavily to electronic music at around the age of 15 and fell in love with the freedom of sound this kind of music had.
For his fifteenth birthday he got a set of Numark turntables and this began a obsession that has lead him to wear he is today. For years he played around the underground and party scene around his hometown along with his good friend and co-owner of Full Tilt Recordings & Dancemusicireland.com John Rainey. His unique style and underground approach to music made him stand out. He played at numerous raves during the summer months… always creating a party atmosphere even when not on the decks!
Diarmuid has played in clubs all over the north-west of Ireland including the The Tul na Ri Carndonagh and the Red Rooms in Derry twice over the summer. He is also a regular fixture for the Full Tilt Recordings & Dancemusicireland.com clubnight in Letterkenny having played for them several times.
In the summer of 2008 Diarmuid also played in Ibiza along with Release Ireland, including gigs in Bar Kanya and alongside Judge Jules in Bar M. He also played a couple low key sets around the west end in san antonio.
Over the last year Diarmuid has been producing music with a very basic set-up at home, trying to fuse techno and house in his own unique way! Although he received alot of support and is now doing a two year course in music technology in Derry City, to further his knowledge and experience of studios and recording.
As far as influences go they are pretty varied, he listens to a lot of Tech-House stuff, producers such as Mark Mendes, Ricardo Villalobos, Tocadisco, Mark Knight, Format B, Dusty Kid And Pig & Dan. But is also a big fan of Electro and Frigit producers including.. Switch, Herve, Bart B More, Duke Dumont And The Crookers.
Diarmuid will definately be a force in the industry in the near future.
