a. A dispersion of a people from their original homeland.
b. The community formed by such a people
As a band, Diasporic is looking to expand upon the limitless possibilities of the musical spectra. Funky grooves, emotional content, and passionate poetry are embedded in the threads that intertwine with this eight piece ensemble. Frontmen Shorti C and BLAXSMITH push to create a timeless plethora of lyrics engaging the listener to confront the confines of the monotonous daily routine of life from the ghetto to the "burbs" and beyond. The rhythm section, composed of Rudy Roux (bass) Ry Dog (guitar) and D-Madness (drums), challenge the status quo of the music connoisseur by stirring together mind bending rhythmic motion guaranteed to gratify the novice to master musician. Coupled with The Brother's Strange (Charles Medaris sax and Johnny Banks trumpet) the crew capitalizes on frequencies that soothe the soul & warm the heart. With the release of their debut album "Mass Appeal" Diasporic explores the musical universe planet by planet. The water's fine... "Come on In."

Hey, thanks for the add you made to my page, I do greatly appreciate your love and support, I know it sounds corny and fake but it is greatly appreciated, As you have checked my page then you know Im anything but fake and when I say I appreciate your love and support I really do. I try to get back to as many people as possible who leave me comments and mail me, infact I do try to get back to everyone.. I realise that I aint Jay Z, but then again nor do I want to be. Im also not some "Myspace Musician" who thinks cos he has a few friends on here that makes him some global big shot! I know what I do has a smaller but growing audience and I am never looking to be a "Big shot", Im just happy that the work I do and the music I put out is appreciated, supported and respected and also the money made from it can go to help others (those that I mention in my music), and that to me is whats "real".
So I aint gonna tell you to go buy my music, what I will say tho is buy it if you wish from iTunes and CD Baby etc, burn it off, bootleg it, send it to friends and spread the word, check us out on youtube, if you wanna get involved in the street team in your country just email the team here..
Again many thanks and if you raised a specific question with me I will do my best to get back to you on that, either that or email the team with your questions, queries and then that way I know it will be dealt with. Im also working with Canibus (I might have said) and Im running a little interview with him cos I know alot of you are feeling him too, so if you have a question for him hit the forum on www.dropzonerecords.com and speak to myself and Canibus personally!
Also, I gotta say if you commented me and asked me to check you music, PLEASE send me a message and I will do my best to come by and check your stuff out...its harder if you leave me a message to get me to check it, a message would be easier for me..thanks
Whats up? Hope all is well with you! I finally have new music up lol Its called "Getaway" Ft Roe & Layce check it out and let me know what you think! Here's a link so you can download it for FREE!
