British director Jay Purcell first came to light in 2006 with the short film 'Intelligent Risk Taking', based on a poem by Darren Gray and featured in his 2004 book 'Delicate Elephant'. The film went on to gain international attention of Jay's work, leading to numerous media appearances and eventually in 2007 to Seattle where Jay made his US directorial debut with the short film 'Continuum' starring Agnes Muljadi and Rodrigo DeMedeiros. Following 'Continuum' Jay remained in Seattle to form Funkbuddha Productions, a new independent film studio in collaboration with actors Agnes Muljadi, Isaac Bekker and producer Christin Reuss. His latest film, 'Dichotomy', marks his feature length directorial debut and the first feature film to come from Funkbuddha Productions.

After Vincent Carter arrives in Seattle to reconcile his past, he finds not only possible answers, but even more questions when he unexpectedly crosses into the lives of a respected local artist and her friends. As he tries to separate fact from fiction, he just may discover a history more convoluted than he could have imagined. Does everyone's past intersect with each others', or has Vincent found in Seattle answers to questions he never knew existed?
The film officially marks Funkbuddha's second US production, the first being the soon to be released short film 'Continuum'.
