We Are Comply Or Die

As a modern day echo of what rock music is meant to be about, Comply Or Die play their own brand of rock with intensity and passion. Not interested in being constrained by labels and genres they set about forging their own sound, call it punk, call it hardcore, call it sludge punk…whatever. After the demise of the various members other projects the devil soon made work of their idle hands and so Comply Or Die was formed in spring 2008. From the outset it was clear that the band would be a force to be reckoned with. Their self titled debut album was recorded mere months after forming and show cases a tight, distortion washed attack that draws upon each members influences without ever sounding like anyone else. After a marathon of shows in support of the album (alongside acts such as Slomatics, Joe Lally, Yakuza, Before Machines, Adebisi Shank, Gacys Threads, Bats!, Black Bear Saloon (RIP), Rise Against, The Continuous Battle of Order & The Black Diamond Heavies) Comply Or Die have returned with the release of their new EP ‘Invocation’. The 3 song EP featuring ‘Chains’, ‘The Law Of One’ and ‘Nyl’ was recorded at Einstein studios with Frankie McClay. The songs show a marked progression in song writing ability and sound. Taking idea’s touched upon within the first record expanding upon them and sometimes sending them into outer space. The EP serves as a perfect precursor to the 2nd Comply Or Die full length which is due to drop late mid 2011. Expect weighty sludge and vicious punk rock. As always, the Comply Or Die juggernaught rolls on!
