About me: Thinks. Laughs. Reads. Listens. Observes. Expresses. Writes. Speaks. Learns.
Constantly attempting to make sense of self and strange world around me. Ambitious for change in society. I have many different faces for every one who knows me. only a few get to know all of them. i can be dead serious, a total 5 year old clown, a motivated activist, a geniune listener, a powerful public speaker, a NASTY dancer on da flo, a lover, a fighter... you name it. i am everything. Love to work with young minds, grass roots politics and campaigns, learning history, fighting racism, preparing for global warming... what ever. im just trying to do what i can in this world before i gotta bounce and go back to where every it is we all came from.
Who I'd like to meet: Like to meet people who are interesting and different from the conventional molds provided by a bland material culture. Must have something interesting to say and not be afraid to discuss things of pertinence. Must have A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR and a genuine appreciation for sarcasm and satire. you dont have to be a super genious or activist - just curious about life and the world around us. people who ask interesting questions are always cool (unless the questions are dumb!! lol)

SATURDAY MAY 10TH, 2008 AT 7PM Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center 107 Suffolk St.
T'was the night before Christmas and all por la casa Not a creature was stirring, only the masa.
Mama making pasteles con mucho cuidao' In hopes old Santa would feel obligao' To bring all the hijos, both buenos y malos A nice batch of dulces and other regalos
Mis hermanos and I went to sleep in our camas Some in calsones, some in piyamas Cuando out in the yard I heard un gran grito That I jumped to my feet like a frightened puerquito
And who in the world do you think que era? Nada menos que Santa con sus venaditos Santa Claus in a sleigh with a big pava Came dashing along como un bomberito
I watched as they came, and this little fat hombre Was shouting and whistling, and calling by nombre "Ay PEPE, AY JESSE, AY CUCA, AY BETO AY PANCHO, AY TITO, LUISITO Y NECO!"
Then standing straight up, with his hands on his pecho, He flew to the top of our very own techo With his round little belly like a bowl of mofongo He struggled to squeeze down our old chimenea
Then huffing and puffing, and a little cansao' He picked up a bag that looked so pesao' He filled all the stockings with lovely regalos For none of the hijos had been very malos
Then chuckling aloud, seeming very contento He turned like a flash y se lo llevo' el viento As I heard him exclaim and this is verdad, "MERRY CHRISTMAS A TODOS! FELIZ NAVIDAD!"

Unwavering audacity, intense political passion, fierce national pride – Pedro Albizu Campos had all the makings of a classic 20th century revolutionary. As President of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party, he championed social justice, defied colonial rule, and galvanized Puerto Rico’s fight for independence from the United States. Revered by Che Guevara as “a symbol of the yet un-free but indomitable Latin America,” and auspiciously tagged a “Puerto Rican Malcolm X,” Albizu was a hero in his homeland until his controversial death in 1965. But by as early as 1933, “El Maestro,” (the Teacher) as he was commonly known, was a veritable public enemy in the U.S. Despite a Harvard education and service during World War I, Albizu was condemned a criminal in Washington, labeled a terrori
