With their third coming album “Dying To Live” about to hit Itunes, Diego Roots has once again captured a unique, timeless, melodic, beachy, sound, entwined with your traditional and alternative rhythms of reggae, that is just simply contagious and irresistible to the listeners ears.
Formed in 2000 Diego Roots has spent the last 8 years writing music, traveling performing and perfecting there sound so that every song somehow puts you in a different state of mind, whether it’s the smooth, soothing to the ear vocals, that everyone can relate to about life: the goods, the bads, and everything in between, or the melodic grooves coming out of the instruments that set you at ease.
Already having two self produced albums “ Rise Above” and “Good Times”, Both recorded out of several different recording studios in and around southern California, Diego Roots was able to once again with there third coming unreleased album “Dying To Live” capture that signature San Diego sound that brings you from your couch, to a tropical beach in the sand in a matter of seconds. With a growing fan base Internationally, and a large following Nationally up and down both the east and west coast, Diego Roots has established themselves in the world of music.
Coming off a energetic set of live tour dates on the “Good Times“ tour, which exposed Diego Roots to thousands of new fans, both local and abroad left the listeners, amazed and eagerly awaiting their return. (Diego Roots),“We plan on hitting the east coast soon to promote the new release” “Dying To Live”. Diego Roots has built an underground following that is growing by the minute. Opening for well known National acts all around the west coast as well as having hit songs like “Wait A Minute” and “Good Times” getting national radio exposure on major radio stations, as well as numerous internet college radio stations. This has helped to push the bands mark in the business, completely independently. This has also helped the band to make a name for themselves amongst many other artist up and down the west coast such as, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Common Sense, Expendables, Aggrolites and many more.
Diego Roots has had there music featured in many major surf DVD’s such as, Fuel TV, Billabong Board Stories, Lost Surf co., Dragon sunglasses, Billabong, Reef Sandals, Seedless Clothing and many more. Also Diego Roots song “Good Times” was featured on the Surf Roots compilation cd which was distributed to every major surf ,sunglass, clothing shop in the USA. All proceeds go to the USA surf team. All of these things aside from the amazing sounds that they create has helped to push Diego Roots into the Music, Beach and surfing scene wherever it may be Nationally or Internationally and the band has created a spark in the Reggae, surf, rock industry that has erupted into wildfire.
