With the massive amounts of cookie-cutter rock outfits worldwide, every band has to up the ante nowadays to stand out among the masses. Not wanting to be caught up in any current trends, Dallas, Texas-based DIESEL are up to the challenge of bringing together the best elements of both heavy metal and hard-rock and leaving their mark with every music fan. Since forming in 2005, Diesel has strived to grow and progress, a personal evolution if you will. Their intent is to create passionate and energetic music, both powerful in performance and in lyrical content. Recorded at Patrick Maguire Studios in January 2006, DIESEL debuted with their self-produced EP Blood is Bond. What you have is a powerful combination of hard rock and metal, creating a sonic wall of sound. Singer/guitarist Charlie Kennimer and guitarist Chris Stiles bring together a barrage of bone-crushing riffs with plenty of rhythmic groove. Drummer Paul Brown adds his unrelenting and ferocious drumming while bassist Chris Harris throws down and handles the low-end with great precision and intensity.
Knowing the importance of spreading their message nationwide, DIESEL has embarked on regional tours, making stops all around Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. They have also shared the stage with such wide ranging national bands as BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, SEVENDUST, OTEP, DROWNING POOL, COLD, DIECAST, SOIL, PRONG, FLAW, DOPE, KINGS X, UNEARTH, ADEMA, FASTER PUSSYCAT, NONPOINT, CREATURE FEATURE, MUSHROOMHEAD, SILENT CIVILIAN, WEDNESDAY 13, L.A GUNS, ALLELE, A DOZEN FURIES, DORO/WARLOCK, JACKNIFE, BANG TANGO, ELEMENT EIGHTY, PUMPJACK, A NEW REVOLUTION, RIKETS, and PIMPADELIC. After playing over 120 shows in 2006 and 2007 DIESEL garnered themselves the reputation as a hard working die hard band ready to take their message to the masses.

They have also gained national press through Blabbermouth.net, Mtv.com, Ultimate-Guitar.com, Xtremedfw.com, MetalSludge.com, and many others. Diesel recently landed Renegade Radio/Radio 81X’s BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE OF 2006. In February of 2006, they were also voted as BAND OF THE WEEK on QuickDFW.com. During 93.3 The Bone’s Local Show DIESEL won the most votes via listener call-in’s for months beating out top reigning local and regional bands. The support for DIESEL in their own hometown cannot be denied either as DJ AYO of 102.1 THE EDGE has listed DIESEL as the Number One live band to see in 2007.
Diesel is currently at work on their latest CD as it’s planned for release in Spring 2008. They want to continue to avoid any particular formulas and instead, translate their determination, intensity, and aggression into a solid collection of memorable anthems. Also in the works are planned tours in 2008 for cities, both big and small.
