On Sunday 13th April 2008, I and a few others will be doing the Great North Derby Day Pub Crawl from Sunderland to South Shields. We MUST visit 28 pubs on the way and have an alcoholic drink in each one. However this isn't just a normal day out. We are doing it to raise money for St Clare's Hospice in South Tyneside. Pyramid Transmissions kick off a series of new releases with this killer EP from label co-founder ADJ.
Following on from his numerous releases on Touchin’ Bass, Ai Records, Outside and Minimalsoul, this EP explores ADJs deeper side. These four cuts, each bouncing around the 110 BPM mark, merge ADJs distinctive lairy production style with more delicate string arrangements and otherworldly atmospheres.
Tracks like ‘Trefor’ have a definite feel of early Black Dog and Carl Craig about it, whereas the EP’s title track sounds like Bola in a bad mood.
