Different Day were probably Hampshire's best kept secret. Hailing from Portsmouth and forming in 2006.They were signed to Oxford based indie label 'Electric Breeze Records' and released an Ep 'Of A Nature' in January 2008.
Different Day were compared musically to everybody from ‘Biffy Clyro, The FooFighters , Feeder, and even Cream', which was a reasonably fair assessment. In their short career DD supported The Hedrons, Steriogram and The Black Velvets as well as playing across the UK at many major venues. They also headlined WhiteAir 2007 (I.O.W. Extreme Sports Festival)
Different Day were:
Phil Stoker - Vocals Chris Pitt - Guitar/Vocals James Dillon - Bass Kev Burke - Drums
The bastard child of Biffy Clyro and the FooFighters with a quick smack on the mouth from Bloc Party wiped clean by Placebo.
Some nice things people said about us.
'Tuesday Girl' is a wisely chosen single, with its pleasant harmonies and slick guitars proving Different Day really hit the spot.

Driving geetars and a wide vocal range are matched by some great production and a great song-writing structure make these Pompey boys well worth exploring.
Subba Cultcha.Com
'This band give a good live performance and worth keeping an eye on, a solid debut EP.'
HardRockHouse.Com
'It’s apparent that buried within these four songs is a great amount of potential and talent'.

As from May 1st the guys have decided to call it a day. What began in 2006 as a chance to play some music became a way of life for the next 2 years during which time we had a fantastic time. No one is to blame for the end ,decent gigs were getting hard to find as was getting 'signed' support slots, however,it's just one of those things, the band had run it's course. so thankyou all for helping us. Bye Bye.
A BIG THANKYOU to everyone who came to our gigs. To the promoters who hired us and believed enough in us to give us a gig. To all our friends and families,it was great whilst it lasted. We love you all.
