Born in the district of Columbia to a single teenage mother in the 80's at the height of the crack epidemic, Diggz Dime penned his first rap at the age of six to the Kool Moe Dee wild wild west instrumental and ever since then his first love has been music. "Music is therapeutic" is a quote often spoke by Diggz. And even his close friends would tell you they sometimes learn more about him from his music than in day to day conversation. Due to Diggz’s mother frequently moving in his younger days, his best friend was often his pen and pad, it was the only person he could trust with all his secrets. When Diggz was 15 he moved to Seattle and lost focus of his music, where along with his brother he started getting into minor trouble and doing things that could threaten his freedom. Eventually, his brother caught a murder charge and seen the pain that it brought his mother. He decided to focus on his music and getting his life together. He enrolled in South Seattle C.C. and started passing out homemade demos that led to him getting signed to a local label Infamous Records, where he released a critically acclaimed EP titled “Heavy Rain” to great local reviews. After building a great buzz, family situations caused Diggz to step back from the music again. Takin a few years off, Diggz started putting out his music again and rocking local shows in the Seattle area, building a strong local following and massive online following with his single "juicy couture". He is in love with the stage and the fans are in love with him. Diggz Dime has rocked with the best shows with big artists such as Ne-Yo, Juvenile, Young Buck, Mannie Fresh, Crooked I, … just to name a few. Now working on a highly anticipated mixtape, Diggz Dime’s style is sometimes bravadocio and sometimes thought provoking but always entertaining. Keep ya ears open because in the future you should b hearing a lot from this guy.
