About me:
As many of you know my sister has fought through treatment but the story doesn't end there. My sister is still fighting, but there are so many others that are not getting the treatment they need, and the ones that are fortunate enough to have insurance are kicked out of rehabilitation as soon as they make the least of progress. Something must be done, and by the simple things we do we can conquer this. The music scene is a family and we should be there for one another. So while your on myspace, raise awareness, and start something that will give others hope, and Hope Can Save.
Hope Can Save was started while my younger sister, Alyssa was in rehabilitation for anorexia. This was originally started as just a way to show love and support for my sister by those in the music scene, but while visiting my sister in treatment I discovered that there is a big problem. Nearly all of those that were in treatment were dropped within a small period of time, due to their insurance. Those that are fortunate enough to have insurance, probably don't have this sort of treatment coverage. Insurance companies tend to stay away from this disorder. My sister was dropped out of treatment early but was blessed with much more time than most have. What Hope Can Save is trying to do is provide financial aid to those without the means necessary to finish out rehab. Your contributions will give those without, hope, and hope can save.
