Alex has had a love for music his entire life. He started out playing guitar as a kid and later switched to drums. His first interests were after watching his uncle's friends jamming in the basement. He booked his first gig playing at a junior high school prom and after high school built a solid career playing in top Kansas City hot spots with bands such as Colt 45,(the KC Blues Band), and other top 40 & country bands. His first brush with fame came when he played with Nashville singer/songwriter Larry Good and The Goodtimes.
At 22, Alex moved to Nashville to take his musical career to the next level after much coaxing from touring drummer Roger Cox. After some lean times, he landed a house gig as the studio drummer for Polyfox Studios. He honed his reputation as a skillful pocket player bringing KC jazz and funk to the country scene, playing with artists such as Wayne Jackson and the Memphis Horns, Sheb Wooley, Peggy Lynn, James Brown's Famous Flames, Elvis Wade, (one of the first Elvis impersonators). Many sessions and gigs later, Alex became a much in demand session drummer who could pretty much play any style of music.
Family concerns brought Alex back to his hometown of Kansas City in the early '90s, where he returned to the local scene playing with artists such as DeLisa Dawn Jones and pop rockers Big Richard. As a hired gun Alex has kept busy in the KC local scene.
Ever since his experiences as a studio drummer, Alex has been interested in recording, engineering and production. In 2006, he opened Digital Pulse Studios and immediately began developing a diverse band clientele ranging from hard rock to country to R&B, rap, Christian rock and alternative rock. His passion is getting the perfect sound, the ultimate mix and producing a finished product that makes each artist sound the best they ever have.

Thanks for the acceptance, I appreciate it. If you're ever looking for something different, efficient and quiet in a bass drum pedal, let me know man. I've had a lot of drummer/recording engineers advocate our pedals.
Hi, Alex! The CDs are selling like hotcakes-- getting great feedback, too. It's been a bit of a whirlwind the last few weeks on the road. I can't remember for sure if I sent you the final product or not-- so if I didn't I totally will do that on Monday. Unless we see ya this weekend, and I'll just give it to ya there! 34 days in Thailand went by too fast! I've been home for a few days and still haven't reverted to Vegas time. My hours are still whack, but give me a call and wake me up....
