FINAL G.H.F.U. UPDATE:(Sunday, October 11, 2009) As many of you may have noticed, it has been quite some time since I updated the GHFU myspace site... I have too much going on in my life right now to focus enough of my energy on this site, so I'm discontinuing it. :( You can still always feel free to post your scores and video on the comments page, as well as help others out or ask questions of your own - but I won't be here to moderate. I wish everyone the best of luck with Guitar Hero & Rock Band, and for God's sake... Never stop rocking!!!!! -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)

As the release dates of the three highly anticipated music games draws near, (all within this year!), I can't help but to imagine most of you have already formed some strong opinions, in one way or another, and I would love for you to share them with the rest of the community! Personally, I am really looking forward to LEGO Rock Band, The Beatles Rock Band, and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. All the games being released at relatively the same time is going to put a little strain on my pockets, but I can't help myself! Like everyone else on this site, I am addicted to Rock Hero! (I just slur the two together) :P So be sure to come by the page and let everyone know what you think.
Thanks to everyone who checked out this update and an even bigger thanks to everyone who stops by to leave a comment responding to it. You are the reason we're here. GHFU out! -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)

The rumors were true! LEGO Rock Band is real. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games are teaming up with LEGO Group, Harmonix, and MTV Games for some rockin' and blockin'. The other fab five will be releasing a new twist on LEGO blocks and Rock Band. Today's press release stated: "Players will become rockers as they embark on a journey to stardom that the whole family can enjoy as they work their way through local venues, stadiums and fantasy locations on Earth and beyond that mimic the imaginative settings that the LEGO world offers. Also continuing the LEGO 'build-and-play' gaming experience, players will be able to create their own LEGO Rock Band style as they customize their minifigure avatars, band and entourage, including roadies, managers and crew. LEGO Rock Band supports Rock Band instruments, as well as other music game controllers. "
Confirmed songs include Blur's "Song 2", Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting", Europe's "The Final Countdown", Good Charlotte's "Boys and Girls", and Pink's "So What". The game will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Backbone Entertainment will be handling the DS version. All versions are set for release this holiday season.
GHFU UPDATE Ha ha ha, just something I wanted to share with all the Guitar Hero fans that Andrew:FlyingShadow666 posted. -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
G.H.F.U. UPDATE: (GUITAR HERO)(Wednesday, April 15, 2009) Does anybody else know about this? Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is announced to be released on June 16th, 2009 for all the major game consoles. It is a combo of all the best songs from GHI, II, III, and 80's. At first I thought to myself that this was just another desperate plot for more money, but then I thought about it a little more and realized that these songs will now be available for Guitar & Bass as well as Drums & Vocals. Pretty cool, huh? So now the whole fam can sing along and bang their bongos (lol) to the fun songs that until now have only been playable on guitar. So, if this sounds interesting to you, check out the following links for more info on the game, or jump straight to pre-ordering it here. G.H.F.U. UPDATE:(Sunday, March 29, 2009) Guitar Hero: Metallica is here! I am not going to say anything else about it. G.H.F.U. UPDATE:(Saturday, March 21, 2009) As many of you may already know, the Guitar Hero: Metallica Demo is available for FREE download at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. I think it's worth checking out. I for one am going to buy the game when it comes out, but I do have to say I am still not as enthused about Guitar Hero as I was in the days of Guitar Hero III and the days before it.
My take on GH:M is that it is relatively the same game as GH:Aerosmith, but with better music. It should be a decent game for metal heads and Guitar Hero buffs alike, but if you're rather impartial, just go ahead with Rock Band and buy yourself a few new downloadable tracks. XP So! I still want to know everyone's take on Guitar Hero: Metallica, especially those of you who have played the demo. Much love to everybody.
Oh yeah! One more thing, there is a new photo up in the "Tributes" album of our profile. Check them all out and leave some comments. They are ordered by popularity (number of comments). I will make it super easy on you; just click here. -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
Soooo my dear GH and RB pals, G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United) is now also a Rock Band fansite. To be honest, whether this angers you or pleases you, not a LOT is going to change around here. From the get-go, GHFU was meant to be a community fansite where everyone contributes what they want when they want to keep the entire gamer population informed, so that is still what it is. All it means is that now you can post your RB scores, screenshots, achievements, and even character photos that you create on RockBand. com. If anyone has any ideas of what should be added to G.H.F.U. to get the Rock Band flow going, PLEASE leave a comment!! :)
Ideas: *Rock Band photo album like the Guitar Heroes photo album.
*WHAT ELSE??
So everyone enjoy the new site and keep the information flowing. The whole point of this site is to have fun with people just like you.-G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
Today is the LAST DAY to vote the GHFU pole, so get on our page and submit your vote. As of right now, GHFU will become a Rock Band fansite, too, by a 50-27 vote.
The poll deciding if GHFU should become a Rock Band fansite as well is closing in 4 days, and right now the Rock Band side of the force is winning 39 to 21. So if you want to voice your opinion, do it now before it is too late. Go to our myspace (com/GHFUnited) and post your thoughts. :) -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
PLEASE visit the GHFU profile to cast your vote as to whether or not Guitar Hero Fans United should integrate Rock Band into our rock routine, as well.
Three things going on right now. The biggest one is a new feature I'm adding to the myspace site that piggybacks off of myspace's CATEGORIES feature. I'm in the process of adding EVERY person on the G.H.F.U. friends list to a STATE CATEGORY so people can find people in their area who play Guitar Hero. As it is, I have 2,029 people to sift through, so this will take some work and some time, but I'm doing it for the fans. ^_^ If you don't want to be added then you can hide or remove yourself from the category. Very simple. :) Second thing is, I'm wondering if I should make this myspace a Guitar Hero AND Rock Band fan site rather than JUST a Guitar Hero site... I started this myspace over a year and a half ago because Guitar Hero is the game that got me started on my video game rampage! But years later I find I have both compliments and complaints with the game; and the same goes for Rock Band. So, what do you think my friends? Should we integrate the two games into one fanbase? Or should they stay separated? I'll look for a way to make a FORMAL pole, but for now, go ahead and leave a comment on the G.H.F.U. profile and tell us what you think.
And on a short, final note, I'm looking into a profile that is cleaner and easier to navigate. :) Thanks everyone for your time and attention. I'm honored to be a part of a community that respects each other to keep the fun clean. Never stop rocking! -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
Hey GH Fans! It's been awhile since I've checked in on the profile, obviously. Sorry about that. But I'm here now seeing how everyone is doing! There really doesn't seem to be too much to report on. Downloadable content has been seeping into the game slowly, with a few freebies here and there, something you might want to check out. Other than that the only hot-button issue is..... what do you think of Guitar Hero: World Tour? I've been hearing people say they would rather play Rock Band 2 than the new Guitar Hero, so, I want to know what everyone else thinks. Pros and cons of the game. Let us know. This is why we're here. :) -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
lol - quick post. If anyone caught the new CSI Las Vegas episode tonight ("Young Man With A Horn"), you'll already know that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock made a quick entrance at the end of the show. If you don't already enjoy watching CSI, it's not worth watching to see this quick quirk, but if you do... :P!
So you want to know how lame I am? I actually bought Guitar Hero pajamas. I know! They're for the winter, too, so they're hella soft and all red for the Christmas season and they have the Guitar Hero logo all over them with the little flying angel skeleton dude with the double neck guitar. lol Is that major GH nerd or what? Anyway, I got 'em at Target,, so if this post got you excited, go looking for them. lol All hail Guitar Hero. -G.H.F.U. (Guitar Hero Fans United)
Also, I was just wondering, what is everyone thinking about the new game? Feel free to leave a comment.
So, how come I preordered GH:WT with GameStop (duh), and it comes out YESTERDAY and the asshole at the store fails to give me a call! So I am now behind schedule, but I did play the game for about an hour and it is the best Guitar Hero ever! lol Seriously, I love it. It has been so much fun so far.
For everyone who did NOT preorder it, it should be available for you to buy tomorrow. And you better buy it! This game is dope! Just my opinion. :D
I want to apologize, first off, to the avid GHFU followers for not paying much attention to the page in the past couple weeks, especially as GH:WT nears it's release. But I'm here now to share some info that you may or may not already know. First off, Guitar Hero III released (last Friday, I believe) a FULL ALBUM DOWNLOAD of Metallica's new "Death Magnetic" for 1440 MSP, along with 2 exclusive versions of "Suicide & Redemption". This item will be playable on both Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock AND Guitar Hero: World Tour. Raising, of course, the question of, is Guitar Hero's most expensive song pack to date worth the $? Anyone with an opinion, PLEASE post it as a comment on our page. Let's get a conversation going!
Also, the "Soundtrack" link on our page for Guitar Hero: World Tour has been updated to reveal the final set list for the game. Pleased or disappointed? Leave a comment.
