| About Digital Dream |
Mon premier amour dans la vie a été l’art. Mon médium, j’ai su le trouver rapidement en la musique. J’ai débuté mon étude de celle-ci; j’étais dans ma phase expérimentale. Après un an, je me suis joint à deux de mes amis et nous avons formé le groupe ‘’Carbon Bass’’. Malheureusement, un projet qui a tombé à l’eau, faute de temps, mais qui m’a permis d’apprendre davantage sur la musique. J’ai continué de mon côté avec le bagage que j’avais acquis avec le groupe ainsi qu’avec nos quelques soirées en tant Dj.
Après 2 ans de travail, est finalement né Digital Dream. Comme a la base j’ai une formation en informatique, alors j’ai créé mon propre site Web : digital-dream.ca , ensuite j’ai entré en studio et de la est venu mon premier simple qui porte le nom "Angel of disorder"
Karpe had dreams when he was very young that influenced his art and musical creations. The band name stems from his experiences. We thought a lot about our dreams, we came up with a lot of different ideas but we thought this word was perfect.
We chose the word digital because we make electronic music and people oftenmiss the chance to dream or reflect on the messages that their dreams may bring.It's why we create a lot of atmosphere in our songs, to let people's imagination go wild.
In September of 2004 Karpe created the project Digital Dream; he was alone at this time and the music was only instrumental. Around December of 2004
he discovered Madame Lisa Webb and they decided to collaborate their ideas
together to develope the music project into its current state. They have created a 3 song demo album called Angel of Disorder which is available through the band website.
Digital Dream has a distinct melody compared to other experimental industrial home grown groups. Each song has a mind, body and soul of its own and we feel that reflects in their creation and how much work we put into each one.
Digital Dream remix some bands like Nouvelle Culture (Mathilde), Splendor Project (Age Of Love), Waiting for Words (Heal) appear in their remix album.
They also do some musical collaboration with Madame Webb and Marysa of Lovelorn.
Karpe play in august 2005 in Toronto as a DJ. In 2006, he present his own composition in Montreal (Hemisphere Gauche) and Quebec (Temps Partiel) during the event "La nuit des Ombres" with nice band like The Scroll and Manhattan Love Suicides.
The project continue and beleive me.... Future is NOW !
