DIGITALIS PURPUREA is a 'one-man project' created in 2003 by Cristian Marovino a.k.a. Pi_Greco. Cristian Pi_Greco is one of the most talented Electronic Music Producer in international indie and underground scene. Very industrious as Multi-Instrumentalist, Beatmaker, Remixer and DJ. DigiTech® Official Endorser and international representative artist of various DigiTech's gears such us the 'VX400 multi-effects processor'. Musically involved in notable productions and collaborations he worked with top-artists such as Das Ich & Bruno Kramm, Ted Jensen, Madaski, Fabri Fibra, Tying Tiffany and many others. Digitalis Purpurea is the botanic name of the Purple Foxglove, a plant symbol of temptation, pleasant but at the same time destructive. Traditionally the foxglove was used as medical plant but had also an obscure use, an overdose in fact is lethal. That's why it was called "devil's finger". Particularly Pi Greco chose the name referring to a poem by Giovanni Pascoli "Digitale Purpurea". "30-hole and Fred Perry" is his newest production released through the renowned german label 'Danse Macabre Records' (www.dansemacabre-group.com). The first single is the title-track produced with the collaboration of the master sound-tech Ted Jensen. After the launch of the album Digitalis Purpurea hits London for an exclusive UK live showcase at the famed London's club Electrowerkz [Slimelight]. Worldwide zines and german mags 'Sonic Seducer' and 'Zillo' dedicated interviews, articles and excellent reviews. The title-track single has been also included in 'Cold Hands Seduction Vol.130' compilation. "30-hole and Fred Perry" is the third chapter of the DIGITALIS PURPUREA's "cinematic trilogy". The two previous excerpts are the full-length albums "Aseptic White" and "Emotional Decompression Chamber", worldwide released by the indie label 'Aural Music' (www.auralmusic.com). Mainly inspired by Tsukamoto and Jodorowsky's films they led the project to a solid and big international fanbase.
