Digital Press's Blurbs |
About me:
Greetings! The name's Joe. Though my college studies led me through the dark and twisted world of philosophy, somehow just about everything in my life has revolved around videogames. In 1991, with my best friend Kevin, I formed Digital Press, an organization devoted to the documentation and archival of videogame history. By 2005 our team had published seven books and over sixty bi-monthly newsletters as well as a ColecoVision game (designed by Daniel Bienvenu) and a music CD (performed by Tony Fox NYC).
From 2000 to present I have been co-organizer of Classic Gaming Expo, an annual event that brings together the icons of gaming with the fans of gaming's rich history.
For about four years I was a published writer for Tips & Tricks Magazine. I was the original author of "Collector's Closet" , a monthly column dedicated to videogamers who not only play but also collect. I've done other freelance work for Electronic Games (the "Relics" column that ran in the mid 90's), Video Game Collector, EGM, and Manci Games - all gaming magazines as well.
Nowadays I'm the owner of Digital Press Videogames, a rather unique game store in Clifton, NJ. The store opened in 2005 and it's clearly where I'm meant to be.
See The Digital Press Website for a better understanding of my world.

I like meeting positive-thinking people. I don't care if they're popular, nerdy, young or old.
