my name is andy cole. i was born in miami florida on july 21, 1982. i spent my early years on the road alot every break from school. traveling to see my parents relatives or just to see a new town. we made our way across the u.s. time and again. america is such a fascinating place each state/region has its own climate and culture it's almost like traveling to another country. the images i saw from looking out the window of my familys truck have inspired my greatist accomplishments musicaly and artisticly. i share the same birthday as ernist hemingway so i always felt kind of a kinderd spirit when i took to writing as a small boy. when you grown up in the south you are exposed to a type of storytelling i dont think you find anywhere else. its kind of our own interpritation of what realy happend. when i was in the tenth grade in high school i took my first photography class. shortly after i changed high schools and took up the guitar leaving no time for photographs. for my twenty fourth birthday as a gift from my mom and her husband i recieved a nikon coolpix 995 and imidiatly started taking pictures. 4 months later and i enrolled at miami dade college as a photography major. up until this point from the time i was 16 until my past birthday i devoted my time to nothing except learning the guitar. after years of playing with blues bands i enterd school to study jazz. with only 3 semesters worth of credits to show for the past 4 years i decided music school wasnt where i was going to find my performance education. i took up teaching guitar at a music shop and began giging again. after spending a great deal of time with a magnificent person i realized the true meaning of life: life is what ever you make it to be. your reason for pushing on throughout your day. that reason to smile and want to share those moments with other people. my grandfather was the most magnanimous figure. he enjoyed everyday of his life until the day he died. "get busy living or get busy dying". i see in all people there is a story to be told and if you listen you just might get a chance to hear it. "my name is and cole and i play the blues". that is not who i am or what i do, it's my life. i also take pictures. i love to teach even more so i love to learn. the most important thing for me right now is to get my life on track destined for where i want to go. i am an open book willing to tell my story to anyone who wants to listen. and i would love to hear the story of any of those who want to tell theirs. life is a journey, enjoy the ride...
