----Dilini was born and raised in Isleworth, a small suburb of London (England), and moved to the US when she was 13 years old. Ever since she can remember she has always dreamed of becoming a singer and always had a knack for music. She sang in choirs as early as 6 years old and also started playing the violin at that age. A few short years after, she started learning the piano in classical and then later, pop. In the midst of studying two instruments and learning music theory, Dilini decided she would take singing into her own hands and practice until she could barely sing anymore by listening to a Mariah Carey album. After high school she joined a pop/rnb/ girl group named SX4 where she continued to hone her singing skills and began to write songs that were immediately recorded in the studio.-------------
The group (previous to her joining) had already accomplished singing in several concerts with Kool and the Gang, ("Get Down On It," "Ladies Night" and their forever popular "Celebrate") including once at the infamous Hollywood Bowl; they had received a well deserved standing ovation for their rendition of "Don't Let Go" at Showtime at the Appollo and have appeared on the NBC show 30 seconds to Fame.------------
The group allowed Dilini to work with George "Funky" Brown from Kool and the Gang on numerous songs, and several other producers that have worked with the likes of Dream (P Diddy), Brandy and Victoria Beckham to name a few.------------
With countless musical influences, such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Mary J Blige, Boyz II Men, Usher, Elton John, The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Alicia Keys, Musiq
Soulchild, and India Arie (to name a few), Dilini pours out her soul in her songs and writes about her own experiences in life and love.

hmmm.....ill ask around and see if i can dig up anything. have you thought of trying to find a sponsor or someone like that to put up money for one of those expensive producers? if you can find someone with deep pockets, that might be the way to go.
the band is good. we're doing an acoustic show next week at a relay for life thingy, and a free show in downtown ventura a few days after that. slowly, things are moving forward. hopefully it will pick up soon...
Heads up! We are doing an all day Beer Pong Tournament this Sunday from 3pm-7pm at The Beachcomber Tavern 206 Ocean Drive, Silverstrand Beach, 93035.
